Product Overview

Henry 183 yellow fiberglass fabric is a woven fabric, 20 x 10 mesh, made of yarns of inert, flexible filaments of pure glass. It has tensile strength of 75 lb. per in., stability and durability, is acid and heat resistant, and will not rot or decay. The special yellow resin coating on the fabric minimizes distortion and is compatible with asphalt cements and coatings, emulsions, solvent-based and hot-melt types. Since the yellow color is conspicuous if not completely covered, it also aids quality workmanship.

  • Woven open-mesh fiberglass for strong bonding
  • Yellow color helps you ensure the fabric is completely submerged in roofing cement
  • Meets or exceeds standards for ASTM D1668
  • Apply between layers of roofing cement
  • Coverage: 6 in. by 25 ft. per roll
  • Product meets or exceeds government standards for ASTM D1668

Answer:
The Henry 183 Fabric is just a fabric. It doesn't have any adhesion properties, it's just a fabric to help reinforce roof patches. If your inappropriately installed gutter leaks at the seams, then I would recommend using our Henry 212 Crystal Clear All Purpose Sealant on the leaking seams. This will work on wet and dry surfaces. Hope this helps. If you have a different situation with your gutter, please Read More

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Big Plus We had tried various Henry roof patching compounds to repair our rubber roof but as soon as the weather changes the seams pull apart. I got to doing some research and found this reinforcing tape and after a couple of weeks now with changing weather no seams have separated yet. So maybe this is a good thing. Time will tell!
