Thought we were getting oak, the only part oak is the face. The assembly was careless. The plastic braces in the corners were not all square and the screws they used cracked it a bit. Get what you pay for.

Reading the older reviews i was worried, but this was an improvement over my old cabinets. I painted mine white and havnt had any trouble with the drawers being wobbly. Its not a custom cabinet but for a quick and cost effective replacement, fit the bill perfectly. Plus, the 1 small drawer and 2 larger drawers is functional. It survived being installed, removed, and being reinstalled. Plus the counter top was an easy install (uses plastic brackets though, so we pre drilled the wood and mounted that way).

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by LF Door cabinets are more forgiving than drawers
These we're for a summer cottage. I wanted 2 drawer cabinets, but I can't recomnend these. The slides don't slide well, and are wobbly. The drawer bottoms are stapled compressed cardboard. The drawer faces are made of between 2 and 6 between strips. Color or grain match is random. If your painting its not a big deal. At a 20 percent discount, I still wish I paid for better. If you replace the drawers and slides, then they wouldn't be bad

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wade Great desk base on a budget
I used this as the base for a desk I made for my 9 year old son. We just couldn't find a solid desk at a reasonable price. This unit saved me a ton of time and money and is solid enough for a child's use.

I waited a lifetime to redo our kitchen. I not satisfied with the construction on these cabinets. The fronts look good, however the construction is very cheap, just like the price. I chose them because of the unfinished look, thinking that they could withstand everyday living.
Do not purchase these unless you can re-enforce them.
These cabinets are assembled with low quality paste board bodies.
During assembly, they are stapled together with plastic pieces.
The staples are coming out, or should I say sticking out.
Also they are put together with nails.
Whoever tried to assemble them missed, and ruined the drawers.
NO glue was found anywhere in the construction.
I like the real wood OAK fronts on this cabinet line ONLY.
NOT the low quality material construction and assembly of this cabinet line.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Judy Decent value on a wood faced cabinet
Decent quality and the style of the doors is very neutral. We painted this cabinet -- 2 coats primer (no bleed through type) and 2 coats finish in a pearl finish. The wood grain of the oak panels and frame are faintly visible which is actually quite nice.
The glides on the drawers are adjustable - they needed some tweaking to be level.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Flipper Hampton Failed to meet quality and construction
Never thought this bargain would turn out the way it did. Purchased 4 base cabinets that each had 3 drawers to them. Out of 12 drawers, 10 had to be re-nailed, glued, and the Metal runner for the slides adjusted. The fronts did not show any flaws, until after they were removed for staining. Lots of cracks, holes filled with putty, and reject lumber with flaws. Each drawer had the back panel that was off by 3/8's of an inch. Had to re-square and re-nail, then glued to hold together. Thought about returning, but had already started staining when the flaws were discovered. 4 of the drawers had nails that did not even go into the next board. Very shoddy construction, by a company that must not have any supervision, or review to see that it was put together right.

I do kitchens and sometimes I come across a client that simply can't afford much but really can't continue without redoing their kitchen. I used these cabinets because I really wanted the wood (that plastic coating of melamine cabinets in this price range falls off!) and so we decided to finish these ourselves. We stained them Expresso so they look very fashionably dark and a few extra coats of polyurethane made them rich looking. We put them with a light silver counter and pale blue paint and the space is fantastic looking! We're not talking Woodmode here and certainly there are a few flaws in the wood (dark stain helped that too) but for the price, you simply can't do better than this. Client is very happy :-)
