Answer:
Your local Home Depot may have some in stock. If not, they should have 4' x 8' sheets of luan which can be cut to size and stained or painted to match your choice of finish. That is what I do and it is cheaper especially if you need more than one cabinet end.

Answer:
It is best to shim the bottom first, then anchor it to the wall. The shim(s) and uneven floor can be hidden by a piece of toe kick, quarter round or whatever you choose.

Answer:
Hi Akaudb, even if the floor is not level, you should see if you can level it in the area, using a leveling compound or use shims.
You can mount to wall, however you want the cabinet sitting on the floor if possible. You want the weight of the cabinet and it's contents to be supported by the floor.
This cabinet is not solid wood, which makes a difference in strength factors.

Although the cabinet will stand on the floor it would not be a good idea to not anchor it to a wall in at least one spot. Because it is so tall an open door could throw it of balance enough to make it very easy to tip. As with the uneven floor question, if you need to use a shim or more to make it level, attach it to a wall and trim out the bottom to hide the uneven floor with toe kick, quarter round or Read More

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.2 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pefect for what we needed with the perfect price This cabinet was perfect for awkward dead space in my kitchen. We painted it to match the rest of the cabinets with rustoleum cabinet transformations (bay leaf). This was the perfect solution for the right price. A large chunk of dead space had plagued my kitchen for years and I never had enough room to store everything until now. Now theres so much room I don't know what to do with myself. If your looking for an inexpensive, easy fix this cabinet is for you. We did buy our own panel of wood to cover the showing particle board on the side and used crown moulding to finish off the top. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Will be great in the kitchen remodel` These cabinets were already priced reasonably, but with the added 20% off due to the Labor Day Sale, I couldn't be happier with this purchase. The sides and back are made of particle board, which isn't optimal, but for the price I will just be happy that the fronts and doors are made of good quality oak, which will paint up beautifully. I'm just so happy that the sale was going on when I was ready to purchase all the kitchen cabinets. Win/win! September 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Built in for a fraction of the cost! When we bought our mobile home, we knew we were going to gut the entire place and start over. The kitchen was first. We completely remodeled our kitchen 100% from Home Depot. We used two of these cabinets to create a built in feature for our refrigerator. My husband then custom built an open book shelf and finished it with crown molding. We stained it and voila`! People are amazed at our kitchen transformation as every single cabinet, piece of hardware, back splash, counter top, stain, finish, flooring, and baseboard was bought at Home Depot. installed, stained and finished by us. We are so happy with the outcome! Take a look... this is the after. October 28, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Needs help Replaced all our kitchen cabinets with these. This unit here if you plan to use as a food pantry needed more shelves, Home Depot doesn't sell them so you have to contact RSI Home Products the manufacturer. Customer support is a joke, it took me several calls over six days to finally get extra shelves ordered @ $20 a piece for pantry shelves & $15 a piece for wall cabinet shelves. When you ask to order shelves the first thing rep will tell you is there is no warranty or return ( all sales final) so be sure you're ordering right product. On the drawer cabinets drawers were already starting to separate, so I went ahead & used cabinet screws to re enforce drawer sides. Then when painting doors noticed hinges bent they appear to be cheap flimsy hinges, so at some point will have to be replaced. Inside the cabinets, I noticed shelf support holes in places in back of cabinets like company messed up & didn't want to waste . March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product which provides storage well. Bought this unfinished cabinet for a house we are remodeling. Goes perfect next to the refrigerator. Will be painting ours white. One thing I did not know is that the sides have to be treated with paneling or something ie not just painted. I had some appropriate paneling as one side of the cabinet will be very visible Future buyers should know this. (I had ordered online to insure the store would have it.) March 14, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great for the price This 18" cabinet is great for the money if you want to save some money. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and stained it to match the vanity. I only wish it came with sides I could stain. It has particle board on both sides. I had to buy a veneer to glue onto the sides. February 26, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by poor quality The hardware is very weak and flimsy, and the wood screws pulled out from the wood door within four months of use. I prefer Home Depot over other big box stores although now planning to look elsewhere for purchase of another pantry cabinet. December 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice cabinet I'm not sure where all the negative reviews come from. No, this cabinet isn't solid wood, and it's unfinished. But it's 1/3rd the cost of an already finished cabinet or custom ones. This cabinet is nice and sturdy, and suited my needs well. Overall I would say it's a pretty good value for the price.
