This cabinet was perfect for awkward dead space in my kitchen. We painted it to match the rest of the cabinets with rustoleum cabinet transformations (bay leaf). This was the perfect solution for the right price. A large chunk of dead space had plagued my kitchen for years and I never had enough room to store everything until now. Now theres so much room I don't know what to do with myself. If your looking for an inexpensive, easy fix this cabinet is for you. We did buy our own panel of wood to cover the showing particle board on the side and used crown moulding to finish off the top.

When we bought our mobile home, we knew we were going to gut the entire place and start over. The kitchen was first. We completely remodeled our kitchen 100% from Home Depot. We used two of these cabinets to create a built in feature for our refrigerator. My husband then custom built an open book shelf and finished it with crown molding. We stained it and voila`! People are amazed at our kitchen transformation as every single cabinet, piece of hardware, back splash, counter top, stain, finish, flooring, and baseboard was bought at Home Depot. installed, stained and finished by us. We are so happy with the outcome! Take a look... this is the after.

Replaced all our kitchen cabinets with these. This unit here if you plan to use as a food pantry needed more shelves, Home Depot doesn't sell them so you have to contact RSI Home Products the manufacturer. Customer support is a joke, it took me several calls over six days to finally get extra shelves ordered @ $20 a piece for pantry shelves & $15 a piece for wall cabinet shelves. When you ask to order shelves the first thing rep will tell you is there is no warranty or return ( all sales final) so be sure you're ordering right product. On the drawer cabinets drawers were already starting to separate, so I went ahead & used cabinet screws to re enforce drawer sides. Then when painting doors noticed hinges bent they appear to be cheap flimsy hinges, so at some point will have to be replaced. Inside the cabinets, I noticed shelf support holes in places in back of cabinets like company messed up & didn't want to waste .

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Elvisnavy Great product which provides storage well.
Bought this unfinished cabinet for a house we are remodeling. Goes perfect next to the refrigerator. Will be painting ours white. One thing I did not know is that the sides have to be treated with paneling or something ie not just painted. I had some appropriate paneling as one side of the cabinet will be very visible Future buyers should know this. (I had ordered online to insure the store would have it.)

This 18" cabinet is great for the money if you want to save some money. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and stained it to match the vanity. I only wish it came with sides I could stain. It has particle board on both sides. I had to buy a veneer to glue onto the sides.

The hardware is very weak and flimsy, and the wood screws pulled out from the wood door within four months of use. I prefer Home Depot over other big box stores although now planning to look elsewhere for purchase of another pantry cabinet.

I'm not sure where all the negative reviews come from. No, this cabinet isn't solid wood, and it's unfinished. But it's 1/3rd the cost of an already finished cabinet or custom ones. This cabinet is nice and sturdy, and suited my needs well. Overall I would say it's a pretty good value for the price.

I had a contractor install all of these cabinets to the walls and floor which included 13 of them to do a very much needed kitchen remodel. Unfortunately the job went bad and I stained them and put on nice hardware. I used a dark cherry stain. The natural wood shows through which looks nice but they didn't come out true to the stain color. If you need to save money and are willing to do a lot of work on them they are worth it.
I would not recommend as quality cabinets. I didn't know they would be this much work. Needless to say I trusted the contractor and he walked off the job so I had to do them myself.
They look nice after all of my work on them which also cost additional money using the best stain I could get and expensive pulls and handles..
There were NO shelves in the lower cabinets for storage, and only two shelves in a tall two door pantry cabinet pictured above which are not available from the store. To much wasted space. They are not finished on the sides of some of the other cabinets so a piece of finishing wood must be installed and stained.
Also found that if you have problems with drawers and cabinet drawers slamming shut you can purchase felt pads and press them on the inside of the drawers and cabinets which should make them last longer.
Just check these out for yourself if you are thinking of having them put in your home. I was not planning on being a DIY er. But it all worked out.
I like them now that all the work I did on them. They seems sturdy to me but it's only been less than a year since installation.
