Thank you for your inquiry. This Stainless Steel Mesh Strainer is for sinks and lavatories. However we have another mesh strainer (model # 88821) that is for tub and showers. (http://www.homedepot.com/p/DANCO-2-3-4-in-Mesh-Tub-Strainer-in-Stainless-Steel-88821/100391403).

does the mesh strainers really work for hair

I do hair and I wash my clients in my kitchen sink and it clogs the pipe; does the mesh strainers really work for catching hair?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, they do. The strainers will catch the hair so it can be dumped in the trash.

2-1/2 in. Stainless Steel Mesh Strainer is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Save your drains After curing a slow drain, we bought this for $3 to catch the hair and gunk and prevent it from going down and re-clogging the drain. It's amazing to see how much stuff it catches. You just have to empty out what it catches every day or two, but it's worth it to keep the pipes flowing freely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORKED AS DESCRIBED FIT THE DRAIN PER THE SIZE STATED. IF THE STAINLES STEEL IS A GOOD MIX OF METALS IT SHOULD NOT RUST. SEEMS WELL MADE AND SO FAR IS DOING THE JOB IT WAS MADE TO DO.
