Is a cover plate included?
Asked by: tom
Tom, Thank you for your inquiry on the BELL Weatherproof box. A cover is not included. We would recommend our cover, PBC200GY.

How are you supposed to use this box with standard duplex receptacles? The bottom lugs are too high and don't line up with the holes on the receptacle. Also, what duplex cover plate are you supposed to use with this box? The mounted receptacles are too far apart for a standard quad outlet cover to fit.
Asked by: Bbob
Ensure that you are using the correct device mounting orientation. Standard spacing for devices is 3.28” top to bottom, and for mounting 2 devices, you will need to use the 2 inner pairs of stand offs.

Customer Reviews

2-Gang Weatherproof Box with Seven 1/2 in. or 3/4 in. Outlets is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from duplex outlets dont line up The mounting lugs do not line up with the tabs on a standard duplex outlet. Also, the lugs are positionrd on a way to make it hard to fit an outlet in between them without the side of the oulet, ground screw, etc getting in the way. The installed outlets are very far apart...what cover am i supposed to use for this box??
Date published: 2017-01-23
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very shallow Be aware this is a very shallow box, so despite the fact that there are multiple openings, you'll have a hard time fitting two outlets or switches here with any but the bare minimum wire behind them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Previous reviewer is in error The box has pipe thread fittings. They are tapered, so the more you scre it down, the tighter it gets. It does not need to bottom out to seal.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Serious Quality Problems Both the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch "tapped" holes have insufficient depth (the threads are not deep enough) to allow proper seating of either the compression connectors or the liquid tite connections. Both the gray and the white boxes have this serious defect. Very frustrating.
