Product Overview

Pressure-Treated products come to you with a factory-applied water repellent for added protection from the elements. In addition to providing added dimensional stability that water repellent helps reduces the tendency of wood to cup, split and bow meaning you can sit back and enjoy your project without worrying about applying a finish for the first year. Use for decks, play structures, raised garden beds, planter boxes, retaining walls, walkways, outdoor furniture, landscaping and other outdoor projects where lumber is exposed to the elements.

Customer Questions & Answers

safe to grow vegetables and fruit in?

The description says for use in raised garden beds but I've heard that typical pressure treated woods are not safe for use in gardens that will grow food for consumption because of the chemicals released from the pressure treating. Is this wood safe to use for gardens to grow food for human consumption?

Can i use this as floor joist

Asked by: dangules
Yes, this can be used as a floor joist, but installation needs to follow engineering/architectural strength instructions for #2 grade/use condition.
