The warm, rich color and timeless beauty of Mendocino Redwood creates a breathtaking first impression. Beyond first impressions, it blends into the landscape creating a peaceful and relaxing natural outdoor living environment. With simple care and maintenance, your redwood deck, fence and outdoor living structures will provide decades of excellent performance, and long-lasting value. Mendocino Redwood is one of nature’s finest and strongest building materials with shear strength up to five times greater than other decking materials. Whether you’re building a deck, fence, play set or outdoor living structure; the enduring strength of redwood means safety and security for those that matter most. Nature can be harsh on outdoor living spaces - but Mendocino Redwood naturally stands up to the elements, insects, decay, warping, and splitting. All while staying comfortable on bare feet even on the hottest, sunniest days. Using energy-efficient natural redwood products helps store carbon instead of energy-intensive manufactured products that release carbon, therefore lowering your carbon footprint and reducing carbon emissions. Whether you are a frequent entertainer, or prefer to relax in the quiet of your own home, decks, fences, landscapes, and garden structures made of real redwood make for a beautiful addition. Mendocino Redwood is a high-quality, long-lasting, eco-friendly building material, which makes it the right choice for outdoor construction projects.

Customer Reviews

Rated 1.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This stuff is really bad If I could have made this review with no star I would have. Was at Home Depot in Lakewood CA today to buy redwood 2x4's to complete some fence work. Last month the quality was pretty good for construction grade, this month the redwood is pretty lousey. Edges are missing, large loose knots, splits, warped, etc. if you can think of a defect, it's there. I sorted through a whole pallet and not a single board measured up to my previous buy. Shame on you Home Depot for dumping this low quality stuff on your customers! I wouldn't even make a crate from this stuff, it's only suitable for burning. I can see why it's on sale, you get what you pay for so don't waste your time. July 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good quality lumber Bought this out of the Cheyenne, WY store. Out of 150 boards, I only threw out 6 for being unusable. December 6, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality Redwood Product This is the worst redwood boards I have bought from Home Depot in some time. The wife picked them up today and even mentioned to the cashier how bad they were. We have some redwood we bought before on a Project we started a few months ago. These are no where near that quality but the price has not changed any lower. The cashier at La Habra Home Depot's response when asked about discounting the cheap wood was, "No." Very poor experience with Home Depot today. Project must move on and there is no time to return and go to Lowes...it will have to do. December 28, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality Lumber I can only speak for the Chula Vista CA store, but the work required to dig through the piles of lumber to find straight and square, un-splintered, un-gouged boards is more trouble than it's worth. And when you get them home, if they need to sit for a week or two before you start your project, even if they are stacked properly and covered, they will start to crack and twist. Worst quality of lumber from any big box store. March 15, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very poor quality I had a deck installed just six months ago, and the decking already has splits, blisters and holes from knots popping out. A couple boards are also warping. VERY unhappy with this product. My contractor purchased it and I would never use this again. Decks are way too expensive to have this kind of problem with the material. My previous deck lasted FIFTEEN years and looked better than this looks after just 6 months. Boo, hiss. April 12, 2014
