You have to dig a trench in order to "pound" it in since plastic won't go through rocks, roots, etc. I have Zoysia grass in my yard and this edging really helps keep it out of my gardens. It's a bit of work to get the edging into the ground but then much less work weeding in the future.

The sections were too flexible to be tapped in with rubber mallet, returned all 12 boxes and had to donate the remaining box. I tested it in dry flower bed, after a few minutes with soaking the area with hose and then after two-days of rain showers, all resulted in the section bending

Very easy to install. Looks great. Offers a great, inexpensive way to separate our veggie garden. Just wish the edges were easier to use. They come out at a weird angle since they are not pliable enough to make a corner. Overall, great deal for the look and the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GardenGirl Great value for a garden border
I have several flower/perennial gardens, putting in a border around them can be quite pricey. I am happy to have found this inexpensive alternative. I do not like working with the big rolls of black landscaping edging, I find that very difficult to work with. The pound in pieces interlock and allow you to go around any shape garden you may have. No, they aren't the prettiest border out there, but when it's all done and you stand back and look at it, it looks pretty darn good for an inexpensive product. I've used this as border around two large and one small gardens. On the largest garden, I installed this border about three years ago and it's held up very well, even through harsh New England winters and dogs running over it! (If you accidentally step on it, which I've done, you can break it, I blame that on my own clumsiness and not the product) I most recently used this as a border for the plantings all along my fence. Looks good and does nice job holding the mulch in place and keeping the grass from growing in. A tip: I find it so much easier to make a slit in the ground with a shovel and then push these into place by hand, no pounding. For me personally that worked better and faster than trying to pound them in.
I will continue to buy this product if I have the need for another border in the future. I would definitely recommend!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by OldHomeDIYer Easy to install and attractive
These were very easy to install with soft dirt and a rubber mallet. They look very nice and I like that each side has a different pattern, so you can choose your design.

I am writing back about the edging I put down last year. Yes, it did get through winter and didn't pop up, solved my problem completely, I pounded them down again in wet spring weather if I felt they needed it. I also put them across yard, so this is best answer to my border problem, please keep this item in stock.

Used this to edge back of house. Had planted some flowers and wasn't sure what to used saw these at Home Depot. They were easy to install. The ground was wet and didn't take long. I curb them and made a design that I am happy with. Looks great.
