Answer:
It occupies 23' across and 12' deep of space and keeps the logs 4" off the floor. So if you have a small fireplace, the height might be a factor.

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not recommended the prongs are to short and the logs roll out, it is also kind of light weight February 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy product Was not what I expected , but it works for our fireplace. It is sturdy, durable and very much useable. The price was fair compared to other store sale of same item. Pick up was very easy March 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It works fine. Sturdy and functional. Like having an ember retainer. Not much else to review. March 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth the price After reading all of the reviews and complaints about this grate, I purchased it anyway with very low expectations. After a month of daily use, the grate is holding up well with only slight warpage in the coal retainer mesh. This product has far exceeded my expectations for a half inch grate. February 17, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 23" Steel Fireplace Grate The ember retainer is a good idea but is made of thinner material and won't last past 2-3 years. If I could change things, I would make the back legs 1" shorter so that the burning logs would have a tendency to roll to the back instead of forward to the glass doors. Also, I would flatten out the 5 back bars so that I could put more than 3 logs on it. January 20, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap Steel Unlike the days of 'real steel' this grate is made from recycled steel. If your like me and have a fire burning through the winter months you can expect one season of this grate before the back rail burns through and also you should expect on the wider grates to have to 'bend' the grate back into shape every could of weeks. It sags from the heat and the weight of the wood burning. Also the screen that is fitted to the bottom burns through in a couple of weeks, its better to either remove it or beware of sharp edges that could cut into your hands. January 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! At first I though the grate was going to be too small for the fireplace but when I got it home, it was a good fit. I love ordering online and picking up in the store! December 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fireplace grate Works great at keeping embers and wood within the grate January 6, 2015
