Frequently Bought Together

Product Overview

This is a standard grade furnace filter of the same type that has been protecting furnaces and central air conditioners around the world for over 50 years. The filtering medium is continuous filament spun glass. The frame is made with one continuous piece of chipboard to guard against corner separation. A tough metal media retainer is adhered to the frame on both upstream and downstream sides for extra filter strength. For peak equipment protection and energy efficiency, these filters should be changed monthly in periods of high use. Buy a case and be set for the year.

  • Metal media retainers on both sides for maximum strength
  • Keeps equipment clean for efficient operation
  • Change filters monthly for peak energy efficiency
  • UL class II

my filters measure 15 in wide...24 in long by 1 in thick..a basic rectangular shape...the illustrated picture looks like a square...I measured it the same way as my 16x25x1 filers and they are listed that way in stores...am I to assume the illustration is just a universal picture of a random filter.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 122 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A Good AC Filter This is a very good home AC filter, and I will use them from now on. July 20, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Flimsy Quality The filters I received do not look like the photo (which looks just like the ones I originally got from the installer). The filters from HD are white, which is no big deal; however, the quality of the cardboard framing is terrible. Every filter in the box is bent on every side, making it difficult to install it so it doesn't fall on your head as you try to close the door on it. Very flimsy cardboard, not nice & sturdy like the originals, even though it has the same manufacturer's name (Flanders) on it. What should've taken a minute took me several, as the filter kept falling out due to the flimsy & bent up edges. September 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Custom made Because I have an older air conditioner it was impossible to find the size filter needed. It was great that they have a company that makes filters to the size I need at a reasonable price. July 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Filter Over the years I've come to loth the pleated filters. Why, problems with them clogging too quickly, and the system picking up the filter/dropping after cycle makes loud noises, air by passes making whistle noises. More problems they end up so clogged the pleated filter bows and when removed the a/c system sounds like it is relieved and can breathe freely again. When I can find the old-style floss filters I buy them, but all to often no stores carry them in-stock. I purchased these floss-filters online and they look great, metal on both sides, very good construction, great fit (snug which mitigates bypass), and my system can breathe freely while at the same time capture larger dust particles. These filters are white flossed and not as dense as pictured and as other reviewers noted. These are priced right, I just can't spend $20-$40 for a single 3M filter, I did it once and gained no benefit differences other than price. June 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad! The first order was damaged in shipment. The second order was damaged in shipment. Because I was then rushed for time, I took possession of the damaged (but serviceable) goods. Then I find out that they are cut about 1" too large! The manufacturer should consider their packaging and construction quality. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Hard to find filters. Only place I can find these HD filters by the case. They work best in systems that have a strong air flow. June 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It is more convieient for me to buy air filters by the case. Home Depot makes it easy too!!! Everyone needs at least one new air filter a month. Ordering by the case is simple at the Home Depot. The excellence is in the service --- we all know how to use and what an air filter is. Not the most glamorous product but one of the needed/utilitarian products. The service is great at my Home Depot. ...And I shop for air filters once a year and forget about ordering again until next year. ...And this is the air filter the installer of my air conditioner recommended. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by EZ Flow Air Filters Excellent deal, highly recommended! Hard to find, but Home Depot came through. Much better for air system than pleated filters! June 7, 2016
