Homedepot is a very nice place overall. But, some of their products simply do not work out. The reason for this is unbelievable poor quality sometimes and I must admit it is infrequent. These closet doors are poorly manufactured. They have a great difficulty aligning properly even with multiple purchase attempts. I found that even the dimensions specified were off enough to demand product replacement. To think that you can go to this store and simply purchase and install successfully is incorrect. I had a good carpenter assist me in my efforts and he agreed with my poor quality assessment of these doors. He had a lot of experience with this product thus he would know.
I was going to purchase sixteen of these doors in my house upgrade efforts. Thank god I did not. I have learned to "look before you leap" when it comes to Homedepot. Purchase them at your own risk!!

Finding replacement closet doors that are not seriously expensive or seriously ugly is a very difficult process. These are okay, not great, but in a pinch they work fine. But when you need 12 of them - it is a bit of an investment and when 5 out of 12 boxes are missing the installation parts it stinks. So, if you are in a hurry or live far from the store you might want to have the store open and check all the packages before you drive home. I called the store and they were super helpful, got us the parts without having to load up all the doors for a return but it still took a few hours away from our projects.

The bi-fold closet doors were easy to install and look great with a coat of paint on them. They glide open very easily and make a nice wide opening so you're able to see clearly into the closet. Good value for the price.

I ordered 2 of these doors in feb when i started a BIG remodel and just installed them last weekend..the model and sku and packaging was exactly the same. However the hardware was a little different on each door and it made them hang differently, which we didn't realize that was going to happen until we had them up. Anyway emailed customer service no response just chatted with customer service who told me that I had to take both doors down take them to my local store get a refund and than reorder the doors. They could easily send me another door and I would keep the one it matches and return the other.....but NO....that make's to much sense. How would I know that I wouldn't get two different doors again....seems like a lot of work on my part to end up in the same spot......SOOOOOO I guess I will take down these doors and return them and get a refund and go ELSEWHERE to buy my doors!

Bought my first set of doors in 2014. Cut off the bottom 1/2 " and installed them. Month later the pivot side of door was on the floor. Took off the door and bottom was broke. It was just saw dust and resin. Made a new one out of 2x4 stock and glued it in. The sad part is that the company is too cheap to make a good door and Home Depot is not asking for a Quality door. A solid wood door frame is not much to ask for. Might cost a few pennies more but cheap makes the most MONEY.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by building read instructions
I was hired to install eight customer purchased 24" x 80" Jeld Wen bi-folding doors. Because most most doors are slightly different in regards to installation I read the instructions. In accordance with the instructions, I allowed for an additional 1/4" on either side of each set of doors in the rough opening (1/2" total). The instructions did not allow for additional spacing in between each set of doors in a two door set application or imperfections of the door frame. The screws for the hinges were loose and some of the hardware was bent or out of shape.

I agree, I have the same problem, the door got bended and the hinges just popped out. there is no support for the knob either, just hollow space, very cheap quality

Bought several pairs of these to replace old closet doors. Closets were just shy of 80", About 79 1/4". No problem, right? Just cut 3/4" inch off the bottom. Problem is, there's only 1" of a sawdust-and-resin substance at the bottom of these doors. So cutting 3/4" off leaves 1/4" of this weak material...not enough to support the door. So you have to cut 1" off, cut the sawdust-board completely out, and then fill the empty door pocket.
That's not too hard! The inside pocket is a nonstandard width, but you can modify a 2x4 to fill it. Just measure the width and set up your table saw and rip it to the measurement.
Of course if you don't want to do that, or don't already own a table saw, maybe just buy better doors. But you won't find better at the Home Depot, so go somewhere else.
