Product Overview

The return air drop assembly is designed for up flow applications with side-mount assembly and includes an exterior, easy to access filter rack for a 1 in. x 16 in. x 25 in. air filter. The assembly is constructed of 26 gauge sheet metal, and the knock-down design makes it easy to handle and assemble in the field. Height modifications can be made per the installation application as the vertical sections are designed to be cut to customize the installation.

Unfortunately, these sections are only available in the kits. Our recommendation would be to contact a local sheet metal shop and have them make the additional section for you.

Answer: 
We have a couple different sources for this item. Our current manufacturer makes the filter accessible from the top, and so it actually doesn't need modification in the field. This assembly is designed to house a standard 1" x 16" x 25" Filter.

The horizontal section is 16" high x 25" wide, so the width of the vertical section must be 25", but what is the depth?

The Installation PDF says the collar is 10"x25" so that must be the vertical cross section measurements...

I have a return air duct made with wood (don't think it is up to code) I want to use these assembly to inplace of that. The problem is the return register is on the first floor; and this has to reach to the adit on second floor.

Hi gaquay,
Your first step is to contact your local building department to determine what the code requirements are in your city.
Once you have that information, you can purchase what you need and do a proper installation.
