Could this be used as a liner in a hole like a plastic prefab liner? Trying to build a water feature in a small/limited space (no fish). Also could it be filled with gravel and water or will the stone damage it?it
Asked by: crazicrow
You could use it that way but note the size... it is not very large. It also has a pump for filtration for plants.

Customer Reviews

28 gal. Pop Up Pond is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes a Great Liner for Planters I bought this to line a small oddly-shaped planter which is against my stucco. I needed a heavy duty non-toxic plastic which would stand the test of time. For less than $20 this item was the best option. The pond seems well constructed and I am sure it would hold water just fine, but I suspect the sides would need to be supported and that it's performance as a pond earned the 1-Star reviews. As a liner for a planter it a 5-Star item but because I didn't use it for it's intended purpose I am only giving it four. The leftover pump works well and has 3 speeds, it will eventually get it's turn in the fish pond. To line my planter I removed about half of the bottom before putting it inside the planter and then filling it with potting soil. It was easier to mould than standard-weight pond liner and conformed well to the shape I needed once the soil was in it. It has a finished edge which I hid under pea gravel. My stucco is safe from moisture and staining and my plants are happy — perfect! I recommend this product to line a planter. I would recommend this product as a pond lining; however, I doubt it could stand alone and if a kid or raccoon put pressure on the side/edge I am sure it would collapse.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy You pay for what you get. It does not hold water the sides fold in and fish will jump out!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from pop up pond Pond did not pop up nor did it stand well even after being filled. Very flimsy design and smaller than I thought. Good for 1 fish if that.
