I purchased this for my bathroom. When we removed the wallpaper, there were some holes in the walls and some of the sheet rock had ripped off. I tried patching them but it still didn't look right. Most of the holes were on the bottom of the walls. I purchase he Cape Cod 32 inch Wainscot and added the Cape Cod Estate Mouldling (with a five inch base board) to make it higher and give it a modern look with the chair rail. I gave it a fresh coat of white bathroom paint. I painted the upper half sea foam green and now it looks clean and fresh. This product was really easy to work with and not expensive at all. I really can't say anything bad about it.

If you can get the larger wood panels and have the tools to cut them, I would use those. I selected these because I thought I could cut them with a utility knife (you can, but it's a pain. Get plenty of blades. A drill and a keyhole saw help with outlet holes too). I got the panels shipped to my house. Most of the packages had some sort of damage once I unboxed them that I think was from the warehouse. One was very bad. I was able to hide most of the damage to the panel corners under the notched top trim, and the most damaged panels were able to be cut shorter and used under a window where I didn't need the entire length of the panel. I would probably use them again, but would pick out the packages in the store.

The wainscot planks were just what we were looking for. We have a home that has high ceilings and by adding wainscot to the walls and crown molding to the ceiling gives the "old world" appeal. I love how it gives our bathroom that little touch of yesterday but in a much more affordable way.
