Used these Valves In New Mexico for about 8 years in temperatures ranging from -5 F To 110 F Have not had one Crack yet. I use galvanized steel risers and coat them in the ground for rust protection. The Only Mishap that I have seen is the anti siphon section can get some ICE built up in it during the winter months that slightly deform the gaskets this causes the water to leak out of the anti siphon vent during a watering cycle. this can be fixed by removing the brass anti siphon section cap with a pipe wrench and resetting the gaskets in place. This has only happened to me twice in 5 years.

I have tried plastic Anti-siphon valves in the past because they were cheaper than Brass, but after a few years they crack and fail. You often break the head covering the seat when trying to replace a leaking seat. I have also used Brass Anti-siphon valves in the past and they never seem to fail except for about every 5 years you have to replace the seats. This a a purchase well made and will last.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Ironfan39 Sturdy, well made and reliable, manual anti-siphon valve which
can be converted to automatic if required. At this price is an extremely good value for money.
