Product Overview

Use this heavy-duty Orbit 150 psi In-Line Electric Sprinkler Control Valve for 24 VAC sprinkler systems. The valve's reverse-flow design mitigates potential damages or waste from free-flowing water if a diaphragm ruptures. The valve's heavy-duty construction with self-cleaning function also features a manual on/off bypass lever that allows for testing and flushing of the sprinkler lines.

  • Universal use with residential 24-Volt sprinkler systems
  • Manual on/off bypass lever for the testing and flushing of sprinkler lines
  • Heavy-duty construction with a self-cleaning function
  • Reverse-flow design prohibits continuous water flow if a diaphragm ruptures

Answer:
Mike, we sell our Diaphragm Repair Kit (#57045), which will work on 57100/57101 valves. That should give you the replacement parts you need. If not, please give our Support team a call at 1-800-488-6156, and we'd be happy to help. Thanks!

Answer:
Tom, the recommended flow through a 1/2” PVC pipe is about 5-7 gallons per minute maximum, while the recommended flow through a 3/4” PVC pipe is about 8-11 gallons per minute maximum.
Exceeding these recommended rates increases the friction losses in the pipe, so you will start to see different performance (meaning spray distance) between the first head to receive water and the last head on the line.

Exceeding these recommended rates increases the friction losses in the pipe, so you will start to see different performance (meaning spray distance) between the first head to receive water and the last head on the line. Assuming that you only have one head on the line, though, you should be fine supplying our 3/4” valve with a 1/2” line as long as whatever sprinkler head you use does not flow more than about 7 gallons per minute.

Answer:
Tom, 24V AC solenoids (like the ones used on valves like this) require anywhere from 150-250mA to operate. Please feel free to contact our Support team at 1-800-488-6156 if you have any other questions at all. Thanks!

Nick, the minimum flow rate is about 2 gallons per minute. In low-flow applications, any valve (regardless of brand) can open so little that sand particles can get strained out between the seal and the seat. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by i bought 10...4 bad...dont buy I bought 10...4 leaked ...I followed instructions from the orbit video to clean and clear the valves but they still leak every other time they turn on...and...you cannot unscrew and screw in the bolts a lot...it's plastic...one even cracked at the seam after 1 hour of installation...my advice... look for a better unit...and...do not get a screw in type but a glue in type valve...you can't reuse the plastic threaded parts anyway if you have to take thinks apart ...I live in a place where I have to haul my own water and leaky valves cannot be tolerated...home depot did a great job on delivery...it's the orbit valves that are bad June 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Inexpensive and does what it is supposed to do This Inline Valve was just what I needed to set up a watering system for my new Garden Area, I was able to install all the piping and Valves in about 6 hours and that included installing the irrigation Timer. Thank you for having just what I needed. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Work well. Built a five stage manifold with these. Work great, just a bit wider than others. May 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good upgrade part These parts need to be replaced every 5 - 10 years March 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 3 of 5 split! I put together my manifold but wasn't ready to install it that day. 2 days later when I went to install it 3 of the 5 had split at the threads.had I installed it a few days later I would have been furious with the leaks it would have caused. Home Depot returned them luckily and I bought a different brand. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by These work perfectly! I have a small backyard nursery and needed these to operate my mist bed and also water all my other potted plants. I bought 4 of them that I wired to my 6 station timer, and they work great! They open and close with no leaking. Only suggestion I would offer is that if they are above ground, to be sure to drain and bring them in over the winter. I didn't last year, and they cracked. That's why I bought these. I will not make the same mistake twice. Another nice thing about these is that you can by new diaphragms for these if you have to and you won't have to buy a whole new unit. May 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It works okay Yeah, I received it and installed and it worked from day one. I am satisfied with this product and will probably buy in the future. I had it for a month and it works fine with my sprinkler. August 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by quick replacement works well no manual action Worked well to replace a leaking unit. I don't understand how the manual lever works it just unscrews the solenoid when I try to turn it. So far the water turns off with a rumble so perhaps the off action is not real fast but it seems to work fine. So if I cant work it manually and it makes one noise per watering for $13 its still a nice deal compared to the old leaker. I could try another one I guess but my main reason to replace was leaks not operation. May 30, 2015
