Answer:
We recommend using the reapplication time suggested on the label of Liquid Turf Builder with Plus 2 Weed Control (3 to 4 weeks) and restricting yourself to 2 applications per year due to weed control. It is impossible to know how much of the active ingredient was washed off in the rain. Do not apply if rain is expected less than 48 hours after application

Answer:
When using Scotts Liquid Turf Builder with Plus 2 Weed Control first, we recommend allowing at least 4 weeks between the application of any other weed control product. Allowing 2-3 weeks between an application a fertilizer will prevent over-feeding.

Customer Reviews

32 oz. Liquid Turf Builder with Plus 2 Weed Control is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 180.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Stick with the Granular Version I grabber this product for three reasons. One it was on sale, two I thought a spray would be faster and less hassle, and three I got great results with the granular version of this product. Like other reviews have stated, the sprayer was clogged the first time I attempted to use this. The next day I ran hot water through it and it worked. I used this in my backyard to fertilize as well as combat clovers and some other weeds trying to take over. Its been over a week since I sprayed. Some weeds are curling up but have yet to die. The clovers have been affected but I think they will survive. Applying this spray is faster but I plan to stick to the granular version of this product. The spray just isn't sufficient and doesn't soak in enough to kill weeds.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This bottle dispensed nothing! This seemed like a great product at first. I followed the directions as I've never used this before. However after spraying the entire yard, I realized the bottle dispensed nothing. I tried again a few days later thinking it was user error but had the same results.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall this is a good product, no complaints on the outcome of my now green lush lawn, BUT, the directions are lacking! The first bottle I purchased I thought was defective because it seemed that none of the product was coming out! After 3 repeat passes over my lawn I was finally seeing a decrease in volume. Now that I know the application process is very slow I have had great results. But after mentioning this to neighbors 2 had told me that they thought their bottles were defective and threw them out. One man actually poured his into a different hose end feeder and applied it that way. Scotts, PLEASE advise people that it is a very slow application! It's a amazing product once used correctly. But I should not have to waste $30 to figure it out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well I have used this product many times over the last few years. Once, when I could not locate it in a local store, I bought a similar product from a different company. Needless to say, I returned to the Scotts product as soon as I could locate it locally. I have probably used 12-15 containers and never once experienced any problems. Itch kills the undesirable weeds in my yard and greens the grass very well. I don't submit this review lightly as I once had a problem with another Scotts product. However, I stress strongly that Scotts stood behind that product and issued me a refund. Their customer service was excellent. Compare this product to the commercial application companies in your area which charge hundreds of dollars per season and this is one tremendous value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Clogged sprayer? Like some others, I followed the instructions; made sure the sprayer was 'ON', but had trouble getting the Liquid Turf Builder to dispense/spray. So, I removed the yellow cap with a pair of pliers, washed out the cap and siphon tube with (very) hot water, blew compressed air into all openings, and reattached the cap. Now, the liquid sprays with no problem. Obviously, this work-around is a hassle. The sprayer may be getting clogged with the liquid. At any rate, this needs a permanent fix.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! Our poor lawn is ridden with creeping Charlie (a ground cover that chokes EVERYTHING else out), and we've tried other weed and feed options. This one works the best! I can't tell everyone enough about how much frustration this product has saved us. Our lawn was in sad, sad shape. After the first application we thought nothing was happening, then we came home one day and all of the weeds were dying or dead (that was maybe 10-14 days after application). Now we have a usable lawn of dirt to grow our grass in (the ground cover and clover had completely killed about two-thirds of the lawn)! Thank you so much Scott's! As a side note, if there is a less child-proof engineering dream in the works at Scott's for the sprayer bottle....my tired hands would appreciate the effort. It worked fine, my hands just don't work like they used to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has both pluses and minuses I love the ease of attaching the hose end sprayer and off you go. The problem is it isn't easy to distinguish where you have already sprayed. The product works great where you have adequate coverage, but it is real easy to miss areas leaving patches untreated. I would love to see them add some type of coloring to the product that would fade as it dries but helps ensure you get good coverage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Repeat customer I have used this product in the past as well as other "brand" products but the Scotts is the best one that I have used and been happy with. The changes to the lawn did exactly what it said it would and am returning this season for a repeat performance as my lawn is "ugly" again and ready for my Scotts!
