Answer:
The installation instructions which are downloadable at the Home Depot site says NOT to install this on furring strips or studs. Should only be installed/glued onto flat smooth surfaces.

I guess you could, BUT it's very thin and needs support behind it! SO I wouldn't!

Answer:
You can pretty much use any type of saw, just make sure you use painters type on all of your cuts.put a strip of tape down on were you measured and then draw your cutting line ontop of the tape, the tape helps keep the paneling from chipping from the cutting. Also use a fine tooth blade.

Answer:
Hi Peppa, you have options here. One of the best tools is a table saw. You can use a plywood blade or a high count carbide tooth blade.
The plywood blade has a lot of teeth and helps cut down on chip out or splintering. A carbide tooth blade give you a smooth cut and helps keep splintering to a minimum.

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good looking product We needed a quick fix for a rental that had multiple nail holes/drywall imperfections. We bought 3 sheets of the 4x8 beadboard panel and it went up flawlessly. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is that when I went to paint it, it was a magnet for dust and dog hair (shame on me for not doing a better job vacuuming before I started painting). Also, we initially used Liquid Nail panel glue but ended up bringing out the nail gun to ensure the board laid perfectly flat against the wall. We will be putting this up in our primary residence but with a bit more care. Will definitely be using this again November 11, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beware of cutting this! This looks like it would be a great product at first. My husband had to go through several sheets at the store to find ones that weren't crushed on the edges. Once we got them home they had to be cut to size. This stuff chips like crazy especially when you get close to the decorative bead. Tiny chips might have been ok and been hidden under caulk but this stuff chips off in chunks and strips that aren't hide able. We only cut one sheet to discover this problem. The rest went back to the store. If the sheets were slightly thicker, it might improve the overall performance. July 5, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Affordable and easy to work with My mother wanted her kitchen re-done and wanted to go with paneling to give her kitchen a southern look. The paneling is easy to work with because of its light weight and the cost isnt really that bad. I will give people a great tip for cutting the paneling After you measure and are preparing to cut the paneling (we used a circular saw with fine tooth ),lay down a strip of painters tape and use a pen to mark out your line on top of the strip of tape, and cut down the middle of the tape, then remove the tape when done. The reason we used painters tape was because when your done, the tape comes off clean and dosent leave any glue risidue, the second reason is beacuse when you use a saw (any type) and cut the panel,it is so thin that it leaves splinters and rips chunks of the paneling off,but when you use the tape it keeps both sides of the cut panel nice and neat and the tape keeps everything in place. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product works great as written up by H.D. This stuff works as described; great in laundry room and for our partially renovated basement. Couldn't afford to do a total offical room renovation of our basement and laundry room but wanted something really nice looking, somthing that could withstand basement heat, cold, moisture and that didn't look cheap but very affordable. This stuff is great ... going to redo our attic into a reading room and will be using this material. Really recommend the product! July 26, 2013
