Product Overview

This professional grade Rain Bird 32SA rotor sprinkler features superior durability plus exceptional watering uniformity of patented Rain Curtain nozzle technology, resulting in a greener and more even lawn with reduced watering time. The rotor distributes larger water droplets that cover evenly throughout the pattern, also reducing wind-blown overspray. Nozzle micro ramps direct a portion of the spray near the head, adding gentle close-in coverage with reduced watering velocity that won't wash out new seed. Simple top adjustments for arc and distance help you keep water on the grass, not spraying on the house, sidewalk or driveway. The rotor also features a rugged dual-action, positive stop wiper seal that protects internals from debris and, together with a heavy duty stainless steel spring, assures positive retraction for leak-free performance. It installs on a standard 1/2 in. riser for simple replacement of older rotors.

  • Improve coverage consistency and reduce cycle times with this rotor's Rain Curtain nozzle technology that distributes water more evenly throughout the pattern
  • More effective close-in coverage solves problems with dry spots around the heads of your rotor zone
  • Water lubricated, gear driven design is quiet and trouble-free
  • Self-flushing at pop-down to clear debris and maintain spray efficiency
  • Nozzle is easy to remove for replacement and maintenance
  • 40 Degree - 360 Degree arc as well as reversing full circle rotation
  • 4 in. pop-up clears taller grass
  • 1/2” female threaded bottom inlet
  • Operating pressure: 25 - 55 psi
  • Flow rate: 2.2 to 3.3 gpm

Answer:
0 to 32.. Remember that the further the distance, the narrower the stream. When purchasing, I look at the minimum distance unless you are planning on installing a whole circuit or zone during which you concern yourself with total gallonage based on the diameter of your piping.

I have a very irregular shaped yard and struggle to get good coverage without wasting water. Would it be OK to mix these with regular pop-ups on the same circuit?

Answer:
No. But you will get more fine spray rather than droplets. If you have a large area you can increase sprinklers per circuit and keep the pipe size as small as possible( 1/2 or less) to lower the pressure at the orifice.

I don't know offhand as you have not provided much information as what type of sprinkler system you have e.g., pvc, black poly, diameter of piping, number of heads, etc. When I had my current 6 zone system installed, the installer calculated the maximum number of heads and type of heads that could be included in each zone based on the size of my pump (3/4 hp), diameter of pipe, and type of sprinkler Read More
I don't know offhand as you have not provided much information as what type of sprinkler system you have e.g., pvc, black poly, diameter of piping, number of heads, etc. When I had my current 6 zone system installed, the installer calculated the maximum number of heads and type of heads that could be included in each zone based on the size of my pump (3/4 hp), diameter of pipe, and type of sprinkler head. Because my previous system had low pressure at the heads, I thought it was because my pump was too small, when it turned out that I didn't have the proper combination of piping and type of heads. What I'm saying is that although the size of your pump or the number of psi you produce is part of the equation, the pipe diameter and number of heads per zone is the determining factor. Each type of sprinkler requires a minimum number of gallons to operate according to design. The diameter of the pipe determines how many gallons per minute it can deliver to each head. Not knowing if there was a maximum amount of pressure each head could handle, I went to the manufacturer's website and could not find any reference to psi. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Eady install and set up I was pleasantly surprised on the ease of installation and setup. I had job completed within 15 minutes August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Adjustments Still having difficulty getting priority quantity of water at short distances. Probably might have been easier if I had removed the directions from sprinkler rather than putting then in the ground with the sprinkler. Next trick might be for me to go back to the store and read directions and / or buy short range sprinkler head,. So far they do great at what they are set for. July 27, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great - Replacing all other heads Reliable and versatile. This model is being used to replace all the other heads in my original installation. December 10, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice at first... These are nice because you can set them to a long straight-shot range with an adjustable angle of rotation. However it seems like every one I've had, the internal gears strip out and the head stops rotating. They will keep spraying in one spot. Sometimes when you mess with them they will start rotating again but always fail to one spot. Wouldn't recommend due to the hassle of having to buy new ones and swap them out. November 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product These sprinklers cover a lot of space in my backyard. December 8, 2015
