Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Flimsy The yardstick was flimsy. I wouldn't recommend it. I broke it easily. May 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Quarter-sawn Pine I bought ten Home Depot yard sticks to use as shelves for a pocket knife display. The sticks are quarter-sawn, FSC-certified pine that should stay flat. Bravo to Home Depot for stocking FSC wood when they can. I don't think anyone would buy these wooden yard sticks for critical measurements, but they are nice quality and a good value for utility purposes and crafts. January 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Depot Oldtime Yardstick used in an Oldtime way. Yes, grant it a wooden yardstick is not a real accurate tool for measuring. But I used it to recreate a new drawer slide on the underside of an old antique dresser I restored. The original guide was channeled out and there was no way I could recreate that. So my hunt was on... I found the 1/2 inch square dowel I needed, but was not finding anything for the actual center channel to raise it up a 1/4 inch. But after talking with a Home Depot associate he said maybe a ruler... A ruler would not be long enough and using two would cause a joint and may not be smooth or stay together and they most are beveled on one side with a metal strip. But he got me thinking. I went home and thought!... yardstick. Went back the next day and bought a yardstick. FYI... (located in the paint department by the way; not where tape measures or flooring are but in the paint department!... I'll take 1 & 7/16 inches of blue paint please! Funny! ) I am very happy with the recreation! Can't wait for someone someday to pull the drawer out and see a Home Depot Yardstick! I hope this may help someone else with that dilemma. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality printing The printing on one side does not correspond exactly with the other side. For example, the 36" mark on one side is not properly aligned with the 0" mark on the other side. For some folks this a problem. You may get lucky and find a batch of rulers at your local store that are printed properly. Otherwise the ruler is adequate. October 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The perfect wooden yardstick Nice, sturdy wooden yard stick. Numbers are large and easy to read. February 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value I have looked everywhere and found them way to expensive. At Home Depot it is a great value and quality materials. September 30, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Yard Stick It is a simple yard stick made out of wood. It measures and is a straight edge. The wood is a little soft so it won't always be a good straight edge. It will work for its purpose. It is a little wider than the old fashioned yard sticks. July 8, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Feels nice I bought 3 of these to make a cheap, permanent measuring tool for a jig I made. While the yard sticks are 36" long, the measurements in between are pretty much all off. On one end of the stick you may be short 1/8" and then on the other end you could be long 1/8". There is no way to trim one end to fix the measuring error because the entire stick is randomly incorrect. Other than the measuring part, the stick feels solid and is smooth. Just don't buy one if you want to measure something. November 14, 2012
