Installed two of these on new fiberglass entry doors. Had to order them due to wanting teratone color but they came in very quickly. Install takes longer than what they say and I'm pretty handy, but second one always goes faster. The install is easy though compared to other brands I've done through the years.

It took my contractor a couple hours to install although my historic house required some modifications to make the door sit correctly in the opening. The biggest problem we had was removing and installing the glass. We damaged the strips that hold in the glass when we initially removed the glass and the strips were nearly impossible to get back in place. Anderson is sending me new strips but I guess I will never put the screen in because I would need new strips every time I want to switch from the glass to screen or back. After all the pushing and pulling to get the glass securely in place the door is no longer square and protruding screws along the door edge are now scratching the frame every time I open it. My contractor will have to come back once I have the new strips to fix the screws and install the new strips. Very frustrating!!

I love these Andersen storm doors! We've bought four and this one was by far the easiest to install. Took a half hour or so. It's gorgeous too!

I don't understand the negative reviews on this door. I had no issues installing mine. I was able to follow the instructions easily and installed this door by myself in about an hour. The strips that hide the mounting screws were a little difficult to install but once you got them started, it was easy from there. Overall satisfied with this product. No guessing or measuring during install. The preinstalled spacer at the bottom took all the guess work out and the two different sized top mounting brackets to choose from makes sure you have the correct fit for your opening provided your opening falls within the manufacturers limits. If people would take the time to read the requirements instead of relying on pictures or assuming this product will work for their application, it would save them a lot of problems. I would have like to have more in stock color options in this model.

The door looks great. Love the step-on opener that keeps the door open. No metal to cut and holes are pre-drilled for easy install. However, the screw covers were difficult to install. Only problem was that the handle was missing parts. I called Anderson's and they insisted that the door didn't come with a handle and needed a separate receipt for the handle. Home Depot customer service tried to get a new handle for me, but Anderson's wouldn't budge. Finally got a replacement from our local Home Depot.

Ordered a 36 " full view in Sandtone with the easy install. The advertisements suggest a 45 minute install. Don't count on that at all. But they are much easier and quicker to install and worth the little extra no doubt. Also a little security factor here in that there's less for the installer to make a mistake on.
Being realistic figure 2 hrs. to hang the door start to finish. You'll spend the greatest amount of that time re-reading instructions and double checking to make sure your right. Took me 2 1/2 hrs. to complete while working at a casual speed. Can tell you from experience I could have done a second like door in half that time and a third or subsequent doors in perhaps an hour under optimal conditions with having my mojo down. Use the box as a working platform and maybe consider ordering the thermal glass option, especially if you live up north or have a fiberglass entry door that gets direct sun exposure.
