I agree with all of the reviews about the door - it's beautiful, sturdy and has added a lot to the appearance of our home. However, one reviewer stated that without an awning, the warranty is voided. I didn't know this and it probably wouldn't have mattered anyway, since the warranty is only good for one year. Nearly 10 years later, the door is losing its finish; it's drying, cracking and peeling off, certainly due to exposure to the elements (however mild they may be where I live in Central California). Although I love this door, I'm somewhat disappointed that I'm looking at having to refinish it so soon. Perhaps I expected too much?

Contractor picked it up and was amazed how heavy it was. Our house exterior is brown so it was a very good match. The trim HomeDepot recommended was necessary to complete the look. Not sure the beating mark on the door was needed but it sure gave it some unique touch. Overall an excellent purchase.

The front of my house has double-entry doors. I was looking for a replacement for my old oak doors that were warped / sagging. I went to Home Depot and got a quote for THIS door after seeing it on display. They quoted me $10,000 with another $1,000 for installation. Defeated, I went home and searched for the doors hoping I could do it myself. I discovered that they sell these doors for $799 with everything! Huge steal... unbelievable deal. I bought two, one left-swing and one right-swing, then reversed them because Florida requires outswing doors for hurricane protection. I had to build the T-bar that goes on the right door (I used the extra trim set that MAIN DOOR sells, and planed it down with my planer). I'm VERY, VERY pleased with this door. My home was the armpit of the cul-de-sac when I bought it. I'm still in the process of renovating it, but this has substantially improved the look and curb appeal of my home. Note, when you buy this "pre-hung" kit, it comes with enough trim that you can build your own frame. The doors are taller than they are wider combined, so your header can be one of the sides. The thresholds also fit together seamlessly when removed from the frame, but you can order a solid new one. I can't express enough how well made these doors are, they are solid.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by upgirl Very pleased. Nice quality and value!
I shopped everywhere to get the best door for the money, knowing that it would be a DIY project. For a pre-finished, pre-hung door, this was by far the best value and I really liked the dark finish. The door is VERY solid, has a really nice heft to it when opening and closing. The distressing of the wood consists of little tiny divets and a few big hatchet marks. The door jamb is nice and solid, making it easy to level and plumb. The only negative mark is that they don't include the exterior trim moulding, so you have to buy it separately for $169. Overall very pretty door and I'm quite happy with it.

The installation was a little challenging but once the door was in, plumb and square it looked great. We trimmed out the front using cedar stained with Minwax Red Mahogany and it was a close match to the door. This door looks perfect on my style of house!

Oh my gosh!!!!!! Love, Love this door!!! Have gotten so many compliments on our new front door. Looks truly very expensive & what a GREAT price!! My girlfriend said "wow, I bet you paid close to $8,00.00 for your Mahogany door. That truly was a compliment. She also stated it looks like this door came with the house & this is what the builder should have installed originally. Our house is Tuscan style & this door is PERFECT!!! I think the company that makes the door should also include the extra outside moulding kit as a package in box with the door. We had to purchase seperately for $89.99.

This is a beautiful door ,I could see how this door could be easily installed in a new construction project, but in 100 year old house ,there's some level of difficulty. Not the doors fault. For the money I couldn't find a better door. Quality of the door seems very high, however ,my door came cracked on both sides of the frame. After inspiration it seems the factory set screws cracked it. So quality control gets an F. If you are skilled enough to install it you can fix it, but you should not have to . I didn't like the fact that the speakeasy has no glass that makes it a little cheaper looking, in my a pinion

The door was extremely hard to install since it is solid wood therefore very heavy. The door jam is flimsy so had to take the door off the jam to be able to nail the jam to the house. The door did not come with the exterior trim so had to order it separately. Over all the door is very nice.
