I used this to seal the gaps between the firebox and cook chamber in my new meat smoker. It was easy to apply and dried within 30 min to the touch.

We used this for filling cracks in the mortar in our wood-burning fireplace. It has worked well, but needed to be redone after one year.

This tube must've been very, very old as it was cured in the tube. No date of manufacture was on the tube, so there is no way of knowing how old it was. I'll never buy perishable items like this at this location again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by redsmith123 Very Disapointed !!
I'm very disappointed with this product. I spent all day making custom flashing for stove pipe installation. Which came out perfect the last thing I did was to use this 3m fire sealant to fill in a 1/16 inch seam. The stuff barley squeezed out of the tube, it was very dry. It said it had a fast dry time, I don't consider 2 days fast. I regret using this stuff. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

This is more an F.Y.I.: I used this to reseal a converted octopus furnace. The original asbestos and plaster like substance was removed, and this was used to reseal and replace the old stuff. However, my furnace was in use at the time, the heat intensified the odor immensely. It permeated every inch of my house, for days. If you use it for this, make it a summer project. Curing time before use... Very important! Otherwise, very good product.
