This stuff may cost a little more than regular sandpaper but when doing any drywall/mud sanding this is a must have! Regular sand paper gets clogged up from dust and will sometimes muck up from paint causing the sanding to be uneven. This stuff will last and if you've never used it, wear a mask and eye protection, because you'll see the dust fly! great for other projects also, not to great on metal because it is grated, it will catch and rip but is sturdy stuff anyways..

The 3M sanding screen made the sanding of drywall go much faster. It did not have to change out sanding paper. I was able to use one screen for the entire project. I still have one screen left for future work.

The quality is typical 3M (good). However, I was looking for something a little more abrasive in a sanding screen, but sadly cannot find anything thus far.

It is a sanding screen. I prefer these for drywall as the do not load up as fast and are easier to clean. Better for projects where you remove lots of material.
You do need a tool holder to use these best. That is the one real drawback over "paper" backed products.
Much better than the Chinese sanding products that are very inexpensive, but wear out so much quicker.

Good for quick removal of drywall compound. They last a long time, and you can use both sides of each piece.

screen lasts long time, can rinse/dry and reuse multiple times. Works much better than same grit sand paper when you have to make a smooth surface.
