Answer:
I wouldn't advise using this product on carpet, because it wouldn't adhere all that well when compared to a clean hard surface. The edges could come up and pose a tripping hazard.

Answer:
Unfortunately these strips will not adhere to carpet as it is too porous of a material. It may also allow the adhesive to transfer from our strips to your carpet. This product is recommend for hard sealed surfaces such as wood, metal, concrete, etc. Thanks for asking!

Yes. Please clean the surface prior to application with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol so the product will stick securely to the surface for years to come. Thanks for asking!

Answer:
Yes, I did that to my boat years ago, but!!!! you will need to sand the area and put contact Cement (little bit) because the glue on the Tread tape is not that good for water or lot of traffic but the Item is wonderful, once you do that put a cinder block or something heavy on top for about 6 to 8 hour and you will be fine

Answer:
This is a heavy duty tread that feels like a course sandpaper on your feet. We would recommend something less aggressive for your bare skin. It is also not water proof which means it will curl over an extended period of time. Thanks for asking!

Answer:
Yes and no. No, because the Tread Tape is flat on the glued face and your surface is textured. Yes, if you can trace (mark) the area were the Tread Tape will go you may use sand paper (better with a small electrical sand machine) it will soft and flat that particular area. It is a pain but it can be done.

Answer:
Yes, it will work on your pressure treated lumber. But seeing as wood expands with moisture we would recommend using an edge sealer around the treads in order to prevent them from curling or lifting over time. If your lumber has been painted or finished you are already set. Thanks for asking!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good stuff This tape is a high quality product! It is rugged, nice and sticky and easy to handle, August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good purchase Good product, easy to use. Does it's job. I used it on the stairs to the deck to my pool. Now hazard free. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Safety at a reasonable cost. Having used the product previously on stairs in a lighthouse tower with great success, it seems only appropriate to use it in the lighthouse keeper's house. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job, looks good I cut, rounded the corners and installed the strips on new plastic steps leading from my deck to the yard about three weeks ago. After rolling them in place to eliminate any voids they originally stuck tenaciously, but recently have started to bubble up in a couple of areas. Will try to see if air or moisture got underneath and roll them out again, They do work as advertised and totally eliminate any chance of slipping on the steps. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very good quality, durability and stickiness. We needed to make a wheelchair ramp. This product did the trick. Adhered to the wood great. Good tread quality to prevent slippage. July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great product this product work great for what I was needing it for will use it again July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by safety for slippery wooden steps Two packages of 180" outdoor tread manufactured by 3M were installed on two different sets of wooden stairs at my house. These stairs are very slippery when wet and especially in winter weather conditions with snow packing to ice Determined lengths are obtaines with scissors. Installation is very easy with the adhesive backing....no fasteners required. August 19, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not a long term fix I used this tape on some stairs in March and they're already starting to peel off. It was great for a couple of weeks but it's definitely not a long term solution. May 5, 2016
