CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.3 out of 5 by 40 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ear muffs do a good job. I bought these to muffle the sound of my lawn equipment. They do a fairly good job. No complaints. April 30, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Headband broke Although the noise protection is great, these earmuffs are worthless when the headband snaps in half. Used fewer than 5 times. April 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AVOID! Cheap. Picked these up for the mowing season. Went to put them on this morning - probably their 4th day of use - and headband snapped. When not in use, they were kept in a desk drawer in a cool dark room, so it's not like the sun cooked the headband plastic. Sound isolation was OK. I was very happy to be wearing them, but could have used an additional 25% of noise reduction. June 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Piece of junk Headband broke in the middle of the strap. This is my second pair and lasted maybe a month. When it is working it keeps most of the sound out. Have an older 3m ear muffs 1435 for at least 10 years and it still works but can't find replacement ear muffs for it. Don't buy this product if you expect it to last because it will break on top of the plastic strap April 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Brittle headband I got these a couple years ago, and very rarely use them. I swear they were almost 30 bucks when I got them, so I figured, you get what you pay for - last set of earmuffs, right? Wrong. This winter, I took them out and just like everyone else, the headband broke. And I have a small head!! Terrible design flaw. 3M should reimburse all of us, for if it wasn't a "known issue", it is now. Very disappointed. June 4, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by 2nd pair where headband broke I bought these for blocking environmental noise while studying in library, reading on train, etc. They work very well in that regard, are very comfortable, and the foldup feature makes them very compact for keeping in a backpack. However, the plastic headband cracked after about 6 months of normal use on the first pair (i.e. there are now two separate pieces and unusable). The second pair has developed a crack on the inside of the headband after about 5 months, and is going to break any day now. Again, these are not subjected to any abnormal use and are kept in the same backpack as a laptop - so no extreme temperatures, etc. 3M needs to improve this otherwise good product by reinforcing the headband, or using a stronger, more resilient material. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Second pair of earmuffs failed. Purchased first pair of earmuffs and used them intermentently for almost a year. Headband broke as I was trying to put them on. Thought that was a fluke so I replaced them with the same product. The earmuffs are very comfortable and I wanted to avoid the hassle of using the foam squeeze earplugs. Unfortunately, the headband of second pair also broke. I would not spend the money on this product. October 12, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by headband broke for the money I paid, expected this to last longer. headband broke in the middle after some use. now it is useless. did a decent job while it lasted. February 14, 2015
