This product needs to come with the following warning: FOR HAND SANDING ONLY. DO NOT USE ON A POWER SANDER.
For hand sanding, this stuff is fine. However, don't under any circumstance consider using it on a power sander!!!
I installed a sheet of this stuff onto my DeWalt Palm Sander and found out the hard way that the heat from sanding melts the "no slip coating" on the back of the paper causing it bond to the foam pad on the sander. Not stick to the foam, BOND to the foam. When I tried to remove the sheet of sandpaper, it tore a bunch of the foam off with it, essentially destroying the sander. Sure, you can buy a replacement pad, but its a $17 lesson. Please don't make the same mistake that I did!

Used once on a felt pad orbital sander. Then proceeded to rip the felt off to remove the paper. Seems every store went to no slip grip paper. Does 3M make a paper for people that use orbital sanders?

The nonslip grip backing sticks to the sander pad and comes off in chunks leaving backing residue on the pad. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I used this sandpaper, and other 3M sandpaper on some oak tv tray tables. I did not find that I got any longer performance than I have with other sandpaper, despite their claims to the contrary. Worse, I found that the heat of sanding melted the backing into the felt pad on the bottom of my palm sander. Every time I removed a piece of paper it tore off a significant amount of felt from the sander.

Used this sandpaper on a Makita compact sander. When the sandpaper gets hot, the "non slip grip" turns into glue. When you try to remove the sandpaper from the sander's pad, the pad gets ripped apart, ruining the pad.
The sandpaper works fine with a hand sanding block which doesn't get hot, but avoid this stuff like the plague on a power sander.

The 3M Pro Grade 150 grit sandpaper holds well. The grit is evenly distributed and does not wear prematurely when sanding by hand with a sanding block (I have not used this product with a power tool). The tacky no-slip backing of the paper does help the paper stick to a sanding block with a little less effort. I would recommend this product.

I bought this some time ago and it worked better than any sanding product I have ever used. It sands faster and leaves a better sanded surface surface than any other product. The only problem is that I can no longer find it in my area.

I received a sample of this product from 3M and tried it on my deck project. I loved it! The best sand paper on the market today. I love that it does not slip and that I was able to use my entire hand to use it. It definitely helped with hand fatigue and lasted much longer than my regular sand paper. I highly recommend this product. It is so easy to use and comes with a color coded guide to help you with the proper kind of sand paper to use depending on your project!
