Answer:
It protects against insulation and wood for sure. I would assume it would work against cement particulates as well, as fiber glass can be just as small.

While this will work for sanding applications we have a line of drywall sanding masks you can purchase by searching "drywall sanding mask" in the search bar. These are specifically to deal with the drywall dust. Thanks for asking!

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works as Described Works as described. It's a dust mask. Keeps dust and insulation out of my lungs while working. Wish they used something else other than rubber bands to hold it on. After any amount of time, they start to dig into the scalp, cheeks, behind the ears. Every couple of hours I had to take a break to let my skin stop hurting. Also wish they came in more than packages of 1. So, I could save a few pennies and have multiples available to give to helpers on jobs or just have a spare handy for the next job. June 28, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Need to offer different sizes The product fits my husband fine, but these companies really need to make products to fit a range of people. The cheek piece comes way too close to my eyes and the respirator valve sit on or under my chin, leaving a gape beneath my chin that is wide open to the contaminants I am trying to avoid. I'm going to try something else. Buyers with smaller faces, beware. November 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Works As Promised But Foggy I got this mask to work under the house. It protected me from the dusty/chemical stuff under the house. However, I had to stop a few times to de-fog my safety glasses. I thought the valve in the front would have prevented this from happening. Anyway good solid material. Did its function. August 5, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked great for intalling batting insulation. Nice inexpensive masks for insulating. Good quality without breaking the bank. September 12, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by I would buy them again but for bigger projects I may buy something a bit sturdier perspiration is the issue I live in Texas over all pleased with its performance kept the dust out well August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Valve does make a difference This is a better option than a basic mask with no respirator. I have found that the valve does a decent job of expelling your breath and makes wearing the mask a better experience. Everyone once in a while a large exhale will still overwhelm the valve and shoot out on all sides and can for the glasses. May 5, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fit Well Only issue for me was at first when wearing the respirator and goggles. The goggles would fog up. Made some adjustments and started again. September 23, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worked Great Cleaning Out Dusty Storage Space I bought two for my wife & I to wear while cleaning out an exceptionally dusty rented storage room. They worked perfect for the project. I was surprised that my wife kept hers on the whole time. Very easy to inhale & exhale. Very happy the price was under $4. Highly recommended for use in dusty environment jobs. January 11, 2014
