Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worthless Tape bubbled up and rippled along the edges when it got paint on it and let paint bleed right under. It also caused the dry paint under the tape to bubble up and peel away. Just trash. September 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Edge Lock? I Don't think So - Garbage bought this tape specifically for the "edge lock" so we could get nice crisp lines but ended up with lots of bleed through and the tape peeling up before i even finished. Surface is a textured painted wall in the living room, surface was prepped (dusted and wiped before taping) and tape was laid flat not pulled tight. Then I went over the edge again, making sure to push the tape firmly to seal the edge against the texture. By the time I got to the other end of the wall - (30 mins) the tape was peeling up from the edge, I reapplied pressure to the edge of the tape but still got bleed through. I ended up correcting the problem by simply cutting in the edge by hand - this tape is garbage. Definitely not worth their premium price - the cheap masking tape works best, lesson learned. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Read the Poor Reviews because they are correct Does not stick. I did the baseboards and chair rail of my dining room. I had 2 rolls of different brand tapes that had a few yards leftover in them, so I used those up first. Then I went out and bought the 3M Advanced Multi Surface tape SPECIFICALLY designed for trim to finish the job. Big mistake. I didn't have time to paint the same night I taped and planned to paint the next day. To my big surprise, I walked in the room the next morning to find the 3M product peeling back or simply not sticking in many places. meanwhile my frog tape and the other cheapy non-brand name stuff I used up were still perfectly in place. All the trim was prepped the same: dusted, cleaned, and dried so there is no excuse for this. I wasted my time and my money buying this product and will never use it again. March 2, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would be better used as a post-it note This tape is junk. I was creating a grid to paint squares on a single wall and the tape started just falling off the wall before I could even finish. April 15, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst! I would always buy 3M products over any others until now. Working on a high-end kitchen I had to mask some small areas for paint. I got the job to remove the tape and paper after the painters left. The paint had bonded to the edge of the tape stronger than the tape itself, which left slivers of blue tape that had to be removed with a knife-involving a lot of wasted time. During the masking process we would hear a sound from the other end of the kitchen where we had finished masking and the tape had fallen off the trim. For six dollars a roll I expect better than this-especially with the 3M brand. I will try other brands in future. June 3, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth the price Ok, I scoffed at the price and went to the big "W" store and bought some cheap purple painter's tape, which I maticulously placed on all of my trim in my laundry room two years ago. Well, it was like the shopping scene from PRETTY WOMAN "Big Mistake, Big Mistake", as I had paint bleeding through on most of the trim. Needless to say I was frustrated. Thank God it was the white wainscot and an easy fix, but this time it was different as I was painting my living room and it was all wood trim. I picked up ScotchBlue and it stuck to the wood trim, no bleed thru's, and it was easy to remove! Excellent product. I am going to use this for my next project as well which will be pattern shades on the walls and I believe will be a breeze. September 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Painted kitchen Bright vs white. It worked pretty well, with only a few bleed throughs October 16, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed This tape does not measure up to some of the other blue & green tapes I have used. It did not stick to the walls or baseboards, but it stuck to my drop cloth and to itself. I won't buy this product again. October 18, 2016
