Answer:
Yes, provided it is removed within 48 hours of initial application / use. Leaving it on any longer results in torn tape, difficult removal, and underlying paint damage.

Answer:
Designing Woman is absolutely right! For a newly painted surface that is 24 hours old or older we'd recommend our ScotchBlue(TM) Painter's Tape for Delicate Surfaces. Our ScotchBlue(TM) Painter's Tape for Multi-Surfaces can be used on any painted surface that has been painted 30 days or longer. Thanks!

Answer:
Hello rockscats and thank you for your question.
There may be a chance for damage to the newly painted walls.
A better choice for freshly painted surfaces (24 hours old) and other delicate substrates would be the ScotchBlue™ Painters Tape Advanced Delicate Surface 2080EL with Edge-Lock™ Paint Line Protector because it removes cleanly with no surface damage.
Best wishes with your project.

Answer:
If you are done you can remove the tape immediately. Sometimes leaving it on the surface while the paint dries will cause you to have to score the paint line for precise lines during removal. Thanks for asking!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Used this to trim door frame from wall. When removing tape after 2-hours, the edges were very clean BUT the tape pulled a lot of the wall paint off, which was painted 6-months ago. Now i have to go back and re-edge the wall. This is causing double work. I should have used my regular choice of F**G tape. Never had a problem with it. March 30, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by blue painters tape very dissatisfied!! I bought this particular blue painters tape. Spent all afternoon taping off baseboards, windows, woodwork. Came back hr later and more than half the tape had fallen off! I've used other painter tape from Home Depot which I was satisfied with, but not this roll! Will have to return remainder and start again. What a wasted day!!! October 27, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Pulled off my newly painted ceiling paint. Very disappointed and frustrating. Have to sand and paint again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] July 9, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by residue on hardwood floor this tape was used to hold down ram board down on my wood floor while demo went on for a 3 day job. when i removed it from the wood floor,it appears to have left residue on the floor, embedded in the grain. the floor feels smooth to touch, yet the tape got into the grains. how do I remove it? Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noticeable decline in quality I have used Scotch Blue Tapes (2093EL and others) for nearly 20 years and of recent I've noticed a marked decline in the thickness of their tapes which causes the following problems: (1) Tape difficult to dispense and tears - predominantly evident during the first foot or so on the roll (2) Tape frequently tears after painting (even if pulled off slowly and using a 45 degree motion) At this point, I'm not recommending the product as it has declined significantly in easy of use and overall quality.
