That's kind of a tough question to answer It all depend on the type of paper you're putting it on and the condition of the paper.

I need to know what the case price is on the .94mm and 1.41 3M 2080 tape. I think they come 4 sleeves to the case.

Asked by: Anonymous
I'm not quite sure of the exact price I looked on the home depot site they only had the single roll listed. I believe it is around $ 24.00 for four.

OK for finished wood surfaces such as hi fi speakers?

I have to pack two speakers for long term (6 mos or so) storage. They have flexible covers for the fronts that attach to the sides of the speakers by short strips of tape. I need a tape that can be used on finished wood surfaces. Will 6080 work? The wood is polished black.

ScotchBlue 0.94 in. x 60 yds. Walls and Wood Floors Painter's Tape with Edge-Lock is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 364.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tape Equivalent of Safety Scissors Sticks just enough to peel paint off delicate surfaces, but not enough to stop the paint from bleeding through under the edge. This tape feels like wax paper and sticks as well as a post-it note.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't like it. Compared the 3M ScotchBlue tape I was trying to replace (Multi-Surface #2090 - medium adhesion, 14-day removal), I do NOT like this tape. 1.) It's difficult to tear; 2.) It sticks to itself when tearing because it coils up on itself; and, 3.) It does NOT stick to the wall as well as the #2090 ScotchBlue painter's tape did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, but I was unable to change the button which asks this question to "No."

After spending thousands of dollars, months of my time, and almost two hundred on paint alone, this tape single-handedly made my project look terrible. Some sections of it worked great, and left a crisp edge, but its the sections that did not work that made it terrible. It bled through, pealed up existing paint, and would break off into multiple pieces while trying to remove. Even though I used a utility knife to trim along the edge to allow a seamless removal, this tape pealed up paint, primer, and even got down to the drywall in some sections. After being on the wall only a few hours, it was stickier than any other tape. Now I will have to spend another $200 and repaint the whole room again, thanks to ScotchBlue "Delicate" surface Painter's tape. At least this time I paint I will be smarter and use a different brand of tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome looking and a Great Buy I needed a large and contemporary rug for a master bedroom. The style and color of this was just perfect. It only had that new run odor for about 2 days and then perfect. The quality is beyond good, it is that mine came with a loose whip stich in one tiny section of the edge. Arrived quickly and seems like it should last, It is not real thick, but it is not going to be used in a high traffic area.

Been using it for years, as a DIY boat owner I go through 5 or 6 rolls a year, every year. As an aside, a short length of Scotch Blue and a square of paper towel make a great emergency "bandaid" for a cut finger or such while crawling around under a boat (or other places). And, Scotch Blue is temporarily water/blood proof.

As with any type of blue tape, the trick to getting really sharp edges is that you have rub it down and press it down with your fingers well. If you don't take the time to press it down well, then there is a chance the paint can seep under it.

It did what I was looking for and held up thru the entire holiday season holding up the lights on my posts in front of the house. Sticky enough to stick to it's self and not leave residue after I took it off.
