I used scotchblue to tape decorative beams on my ceiling. The beams were dark mahogany, I used Behr Ultra pure white ceiling paint. The white paint bled under the tape and onto my dark beams.
It took me an hour to apply the tape and 5 hours to scrape the paint off the beams. I will try another product next time. The few dollars I saved from using the scotchblue tape wasn't worth all the trouble.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MudBug1947 Great product overall
Applies easily, even over deeply textured walls but it tears easily during removal of long strips. I have some stuck in a tight space that will required an extra effort to remove.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bman Last time I use this
Just removed the tape from an edge area I painted and most of the paint underneath it came with it. All the time I took to carefully put the tape in exactly the right place was a complete waste of time. Now I will have to just paint very carefully along the edge. The roll and a half of the tape I have left will now just go into the trash.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chevy513 This Scotch blue tape works good for interior house masking and painting. Coming from the automotive paint industry I have been spoiled using the top of the line green 3m tape which I would prefer to use any day but it's much more expensive, about twice the price of this Scotch Blue tape, so it's not a very plausible option for masking the inside of a house. This scotch blue works great masking off before using latex paint and is your best option for painting around the house I think and it's what I always use for interior house masking and it's always worked good for me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GrandPrairieTX1 New use for Scotchblue Painters Tape
I recently found a new use for Scotchblue Painters Tape. My passenger side car door was crumpled in a car accident, and the body shop couldn't take my car in for a couple of weeks. With rain threatening, I had to seal the large gaps between the warped car door and car body so water wouldn't leak into the car interior. Was going to use duct tape but hated the idea of duct tape glue on the car paint. I tried taping the seams of the car door/car body with Scotchblue tape, and it worked great! Tape held firmly, protected against rain, and pulled off easily at the body shop with no damage to car paint.
