Howdy "mom",
I've used this product to glue paper, cardboard, and fabric and it works well.
The only concern would be the size and thickness of the stars and the type of fabric.
Happy hanging,
Coach Dave

I used it to glue a large photo to the front of a 3 ring binder, spraying both surfaces (the back of the photo and the front of the binder) and it worked fine for that. One draw back to this stuff, or any spray adhesive, especially with something as "fussy" as a photo, is the mess you have to deal, particularly, the overspray . You have to be VERY careful not to get any adhesive on the front of your photo or it will show. I first spread out my newspapers to cover the surface I was working on, sprayed the back of the photo, carefully set it aside on a clean surface, with the sprayed side UP, then put down a clean layer of newspapers before setting the folder on the work surface so as not to get any overspray from the photo on the back of the folder. I taped off the area I didn't want sprayed on the folder, then sprayed it with the adhesive. After it was sprayed, I removed the tape, put down a fresh layer of newspapers once again, and working on the clean surface, adhered to photo to the folder being very careful not to get any adhesive on the picture side of the photo. With a clean, white rag (cut from a t-shirt) I gently rubbed the top of the photo to make sure the two surfaces were bonded, took another clean white t-shirt rag, spread it evenly over the whole thing and set a large book on top until I was sure it was dry. The difficulty in keeping the adhesive off areas you don't want glued is the reason I don't use spray adhesives more than I do. Read Less

I don't know about your foam bed topper, specifically. Have never used it for that and don't know if any of the glue ingredients would "melt" or eat away at the foam type you have. However, last fall, I did use this product to glue carpet pcs to the inside walls of Polystyrene (a hard "plastic-like" material) dog houses for added insulation. Some of the carpet pcs were jute-backed, some of them were FOAM-backed. All held to the dog house walls through outdoor winter temps in MN, as cold as teens below zero. I don't know how long they'll hold, but they've held from October through today, mid May, and, apparently, did not destroy or deteriorate the foam backing on the carpet pcs. You can take from that whatever you will as far as your specific situation. (Be sure to follow the can directions as far as how long to allow the product to sit on whatever you're gluing before adhering things together.) Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great all purpose I used this product to re-felt my pool table. I was skeptical at first when I read online that using an adhesive spray would work properly. This Super 77 multi-purpose spray was just that. This was strong enough to hold the felt in place as i stretched around the table. When using, for any application, make sure you cover any surrounding you do not want to get sticky. It is a spray, treat as if you were spray painting. It will spread if you are not careful. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Product I bought an old rust bucket trailer and restored it with the a couple of cans of gloss black. It was easy to use and I am amazed how well it turned out. Could not be more happier with this product. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 3M does it again!!! I had to use this glue in some very cold temperatures, worked and adhered excellent ! February 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Worked well I used it in several places to reattach large pieces of the paint that had come off a lath and plaster wall before I textured around them and it was handy when I needed some permanent repair on a door I had cut too short and needed to glue a piece into the bottom for stability. Sure I could have used tube glue, but this was evenly spread and created a good permanent bond. You just have to be careful of the over-spray. January 5, 2016
