The higher the dB number the better the protection and noise dampening value.

Tactical 6 Earmuff is rated 2.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tactical 6S battery installation I recently received two sets of Tactical 6S hearing protection. The instructions for battery installation are very poor and the pieces do not want to separate as explained in the illustration. They are of no use if the batteries cannot be loaded. There are no further instructions on the website.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THESE! I don't care how well these terribly designed earmuffs work, installing the batteries and reinstalling the earpads will drive you mad. I read the instructions and several You Tube videos on how to install the batteries before I tried it and it still was one of the most ridiculous things I've ever had to do to get a device to work, it's sort of like having to take the hood and right fender off your car to change the oil. Don't buy these unless you love frustration and poorly written instructions, I can't stress enough how enraging the simple battery installation is, what a poorly designed piece of you know what.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, works better than expected! I bought this pair of earmuffs for work and for the gun range and they have not failed me. It's nice to be able to have a conversation and hear things around me, while reducing loud noises. The battery installation wasn't that bad, just use a little force and common sense. I'm planning on buy more of these for my co-workers!
