Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Scooter Perfect for Non_Disposal Side of the Kitchen Sink
This screen is thin but the mesh is tight. No obstacle to pans and dishes, but it keeps even little stuff from trying to block the pipes. Looks like it will be to be replaced twice a year. A under $3, order 2.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Singlebuyer Great at reducing septic tank pump outs.
I Am on a septic tank and (knock on wood) and it's never needed pumping. I attribute part of that good fortune to the fact I use these in the kitchen sink. I also don't have a dishwasher. These catch a huge amount of stuff. You do have to clean them. I also replace them about every 6 months because they become slightly warped from me tapping the food particles out of them into the trash can. These are shaped well so they get a good seal and trap those particles and the mesh is small enough to catch all of it and water has great flow through. To keep them clean I use an old tooth brush and some cleaner and rinse them. It's worth it to me.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Gregm13 Rusted on 3rd day
It's cheap, it fits and it strains and drains... but it says stainless steel. It's developed rust in 4 places on the 3rd day since we installed. That's not stainless, folks

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by countreesally Good product
This kitchen sink strainer is a good product. I have only had to replace this once, due to the fact that we dumped coffee grinds down the sink and when they get caught in the strainer they don't rinse out easily, causing the strainer to get dirty & disgusting. Lesson learned.............coffee now gets dumped in the trash!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by AinBoston Not sturdy enough
The concept of this strainer is good, but the metal ring around it is too thin and flexible which means it won't stay flat in the sink. I ended up buying one at the grocery store that had a much wider metal ring that was rigid and it works much better. This one is just too cheap.

For years we have used various strainers for the kitchen sinks in the houses of Bloomfield Hills, MI; Westchester, NY; and Scottsdale, AZ. This stainless steel mesh strainer is by far the best. It drains water much better, and does not get brown greasy unsanitary coating

This strainer is the BEST at capturing anything and EVERYTHING that could possibly go down your kitchen sink. From large bits to miniscule pieces it grabs it all...yet no matter how much and what size it may collect it hardly ever impedes the flow of water. I wish I had purchased this a long time ago, but better late than never.
