Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NvrBuyBosch Do not puy this Bosch product.
Bosch will not honor the warranty. Their rude phone staff will tell that what ever is burn out or tore up is not under warranty, then tell you what is. Then when that goes out, then that is not under warranty.
My new issue is the diffuser just on the inside of the screen has broke, and a shard of it is pinned in the flow sensor, and will not generate hot water. They have told me that this piece of debris came from the water supply and magically made it through the screen. The warranty does not cover debris that comes into the system from the supply.

it ran for 5 years without an issue. used it to fill the hot tub several times. amazing on demand; and i have cold well water. then it developed a small leak around the white wires and the bottom of the middle heater. turned green. called bosch, they asked for pictures and i sent them. i received a call back in 15 minutes telling me they were sending a new one to my house. thanx bosch, i'll keep buying your stuff.

look online and search" problems with (brand and model number tank less water heater you are interested in buying)" and read what others have to say about this product.
Now google search"tank less water heaters with high reviews"
look for the ones that have a automatic flow control valve which slows down the hot water volume in order to achieve a steady water temperature .it comes in handy when taking a shower and some one else decides to open a hot water sink faucet, other shower/tub thus diluting your pre established hot water setting.one brand out there that does have this features is stiebel eltron tempra plus.i purchased a Titan tank-less water heater and had the same problem.high and low fluctuating temps.then within 2 years it slowly started malfunctioning by intermittently heating water etc.found out that tank-less water heater can build up deposits and scale faster than than a tank water heater. so before purchasing/installing my next one i installed a inline whole house water filter and downstream from that one a water softener just to prevent scaling and deposits from damaging the tank-less.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Losmooth The upgraded AE125 works great!
I had the older model AE125 but It wasn't that reliable- at least twice a year I would have an issue. It developed a leak and Bosch replaced it free of charge and the new unit was an upgraded ae125- different circuit board inside. This new AE125 has not missed a beat! This replacement was over four years ago no problems whatsoever. Very pleased with the ae-125 it will not disappoint!

The first problem that I encountered when "trying" to purchase this item was, that it was not available in a store. Normally when someone needs to buy a water heater it is an emergency and not being able to get one quickly was a hassle. I also recomend that you put an aproximate cost of additional materials needed, for me it was $160, fortunately I was able to install everything myself or the cost of installation could have been very large. So far the product usage has been questionable, adjustments have been made when using the shower, and sinks in my house. Overall I am not as pleased as I would like to have been with this product.

water temp fluctuates like others have stated, seems to also be related to water pressure. I upgraded every piece in my plumbing system, even installing pressure regulator as suggested in manual and still getting fluctuation. Which when your lathered up and it goes scalding hot or freezing cold in a small stand up shower its not nice. This would probably work better if you lived in an area with city water. Well water on this unit is not advised...
Going to attempt to return this item and get better name brand online since its not offered in store :(
My only advantage I have is it was clearance priced at my store to $244.06 and I see why it was now...

I live at the beach and I was constantly having problems with rust, etc in my water heater. I had just gotten frustrated and replaced several, probably before they needed to be as I was tired of calling people to my house to work on it. I had this unit installed about a month ago, and have had no problems with the water heater. I did have to hire someone to do this, a professional, and there was a lot of discussion of amps and breakers and wiring. I do know some of the breakers had to be replaced. I highly recommend this as I live in a house with two kitchens and three baths and we have had no hot water problems.
