Answer:
Turn the dial to "Start Times". Make sure you are on the program that you want to change. Set start time 1 then hit the arrow to start time 2. set that and so on. The common confusion is that start times 1 through 4 (or 3 whatever it is) is associated with the stations. Station selection is only controlled in "Run Time"

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by awesome timer very simple to install and program , I only have two valves so all I needed was a basic timer, definitely a good buy December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very, very nice timer Installed this unit at my neighbors rental house which has the old style, single "rotatory valve" (common in older homes in Florida) that has ONE solenoid. After speaking with Orbit tech (prior to purchase), I was informed it can be used. Your simply programming the one solenoid to go on at 4 different times, leaving a minute or two for the rotator to move. Programmed it on my bench, install was a snap. He plans to update to individual valves later so we can use this timer as well. One note, it does come with concrete anchors (Plastic inserts with screws). The top screw works fine however the lower TWO mounts inside the unit have much thicker plastic for the screws to go thru. IE, you'll need longer screws if mounting to concrete. November 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sprinkler Timer I manage 252 units townhome complex. I use this product on all of the units. They have worked really well for several years. October 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great drip controller Easy to install. Easy to program. Can program 7 days on or off, up to 240 minutes per station setting and multiple times per each day, Can also program sequential days on or off not related to 7 day week. Needs a 120 volt AC power outlet. September 22, 2015
