Noticed some rust along one side of the toilet's base. When I pulled it I found the flange ring in pieces; probably dating back to the installation of new tile in that bathroom. This replaced the broken flange of the same type. The bottom half of the original would not even retract from the pipe so I simply replaced the top half that the toilet bolted into originally. Easy to install

The flange installs on the inside of the sewer pipe. Due to rust and build-up inside cast-iron sewers it is hard to push the flange inside the sewer pipe. If the existing flange was flush with the floor this pipe sticks out a little, requiring spacers under the toilet so it does not wobble, unless you cut off a piece of the sewer pipe so the flange will sit lower on the sewer pipe. I have not tried it on ABS sewer lines.

Saved me hour on demo on old drain and pouring new concrete for new flange install. Only down time was the wait for the product to get to the store. Install took 5 min. Seated toilet with new wax ring and I was done.

When remodeling our bathroom from the bones up we discovered we had a broken flange on the cast iron. Hearing there was an easy fix we purchased this item. We placed this part in position and went to install the toilet. I don't know if our installer overtightened or what happened but the "flange" part of this then cracked. Figuring it was a fluke I went out and purchased ANOTHER of these pieces. The install this time went well. Placed the toilet and finished our bathroom remodel. Jump forward 6 months. Go downstairs and notice a white clothing cabinet that happened to be located under the upstairs bathroom is soaked in urine and "other" disgusting fluids. Call my installer. We think maybe a wax ring failed. Nope. This WHOLE unit failed. It had large cracks and hairline cracks all over it. We are not overweight (largest in the house is190). The toilet was installed correctly. I have lost a lot of money as I had to throw away the whole cabinet and all the soaked clothing. This time I got it fixed correct and had a new cast iron flange put on. Please don't waste your money on this item. Do it right the first time.

Great for cast iron pipes. We had noticed past leakage and the toilet would not seal properly.

Great product for replacing damaged flanges. This makes a very secure and leak proof attachment for the toilet. Suggest to not only tighten the flange, but to anchor with a two or three screws. We have been using this product for years and are very happy with how well it holds up.
