The recycling code for HDPE is 2, and this is HDPE. I don't know whether it's marked with that code.

Rated 3.6 out of 5 by 14 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Drain Pipe for landscape areas Light drainage pipe for landscaped areas. Easy to work with, no glue needed. July 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It Sucks Buy standard PVC drain pipe, Buy standard PVC drain pipe, Buy standard PVC drain pipe June 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hydroponic garden. I purchased these pipes for my hydroponic garden and they worked very very well. PVC PVC glue does not work very well on these pipes. I ended up using flexible couplings to seal the pipes on the ends with a cap and in the center. September 22, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Does not seal to 4" fittings Just installed 130' of this pipe to run 4 downspouts off property. Make sure you dig your trenches either straight or at the exact angles of the fittings. If you think you can get this pipe to bend even a little you will just break the "Y" or whatever fitting you connect to. As I connected one downspout to a 90 degree fitting it began to rain. No matter what I did I could not stop the drip, drip, drip, of the connection from the 90 to the pipe. I'm sure the vast majority of the water will stay inside the pipe, but I wish they would provide a water tight seal instead of a dirt tight pipe. January 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Not for pressure I have used this pipe several times. You have to remember this pipe is not for a pressure system. It is a drain pipe. I glue and screw the fittings. It does not mater if the fitting leaks a little bit. My downspouts are connected to it. Then the water flows to where I want it. I put a gravel bed under it and then over it. If you are trying to use it as a French drain then you purchase the pipe with the holes in it. If you want to carry water to another area, then use the solid. Great product.. Better then the coiled pipe, easier to run the grade, (slope) of the pipe. You dig the trench back fill with gravel to maintain the slope, lay the pipe, cover with gravel, if you want to pick up the water in the trench or are using the trench to help with the drain system, Cover the gravel with landscape fabric, backfill with the native soil, (dirt). You are done. Good Luck. I will be buying again. I have a lot of French drains to do. March 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Vertical Garden I installed a vertical garden over the Memorial Holiday weekend on our side yard (facing east), I drilled 2" holes on both sides of the pipe with 6" spacing and I cut the pipes to 92"and filled with Miraclegrow. I plan on planning more strawberries, lettuce, peas, basil etc, with the 10 pipes we have 140 plant positions (see attached pics), this product is very easy to work with and rigid enough to stand up to my needs, (we tested one pipe for 3 weeks and we have red, yellow and green pepper growing with strawberries at the bottom. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wish the older product were still available I've used 4" drainage pipe for many projects on my property and value its light weight, low cost, and easy to install fittings. This new 4" pipe with the ribbed exterier irratates me. As stated by another reviewer, the factory installed couplers have a sloppy fit and don't bond well with PVC cement. The ribbed exterier in general is poorer at making intimate seals with PVC fittings. I wish the older unribbed pipe were still available. I also think Home Depot made a bad arrangement with Advanced Drainage Systems agreeing to print a long paragraph of hype about this company in every product description. Product descriptions should discuss the product and its functionality. September 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Much better than that throw-away corrugated black plastic I have used this numerous times and my only concern was the inability of the pipe to accept glue. You need the lighter weight fittings and then all the fittings are relatively tight. I add Gorilla Glue Tape around the fittings just for extra security. All my drainage is underground so nothing will come apart anyway because they are held in place by pressure. Speaking of pressure this product does not crush or fall apart like the black corrugated and can handle significant weight. I have dug up the old stuff black corrugated stuff and found cracks, crushed and once found a line cut in half by an irrigation contractor and he did not even know he cut it. Latest project was a french drain using both the pipe with the predrilled holes and the solid pipe. Happy with the end product. May 28, 2015
