Need to install a new mailbox post for the folks after a truck knocked theirs over. They want wood, but also want to paint. How soon would a KDAT treated 4x4 be ready for paint/stain?

Thanks.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Quality It took 4 shipments to get the 53 clean posts that I needed to complete my fence project. Over 50% came in damaged with large splits in posts which is why it took the 4 shipments. Home Depot nor the manufacturer took the time to inspect the shipments prior to delivery as requested until the last shipment. After all this, several of the post are already splitting in the field. Not sure if it is the drying process or just poor wood, but I am suspect on the long term stability of these posts. On a positive note I have had several compliments on the fence. November 26, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by SOMEWHAT PLEASED Just picked these up at my local store. Surprised that each post is individually boxed. Inspected several and they seem to be of reasonable quality but would expect exceptional quality for a 4x4 that cost me $10 each more than a usual treated 6 ft 4x4. My biggest complaint is that the Home Depot web site showed the actual dimensions to be 4 inches by 4 inches; they're not. The actual dimensions are 3.5x3.5, like most dimensional lumber.....not what the web site indicated. July 26, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by fence posts Posts had few knots, since half was underground very few above ground line. The moulding has a good appearance compared to other PT posts October 7, 2014
