40 in. Oscillating Tower Fan with Remote Control is rated 2.4 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware! Needed a fan late night minutes before they closed and walked out with this good looking fan at a decent price for the options it had. First un boxing and found it upside down with no instructions . Cheaply made but went together easy. Plugged it in and turned it on to find it worked quite nice in oscillation mode. Job well done I thought as I left to return an hour later to a horrible burning smell that is still airing out hours later! Wife said she thought it smelled like that just because it was new. I'll be back first thing in the morning to buy a better and maybe cheaper fan but never this brand again

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Form, but not sure about function This fan looks nice, but it would be nice to know what all the buttons do. The "manual" (used lightly) only has directions on how to assemble the base and general safety information. There are NO pictures of the top or any information about the buttons and what they do. Hopefully we can guess our way through this...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Oscillating Fan Gave it a 3 day chance. Fail. No decent air flow and noisy. A cheap table top was better than this. I hate returns but there wasn't any way I was going to throw 50.00 out the window.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good air flow but annoying rattling in low and med. speed settings Was not looking to buy a Lasko brand but couldn't find anything else in our local Home Depot. Finally settled on this fan and brought it home. Putting the fan together was fairly easy, and was ready to turn it on in less than 10 minutes. However, upon turning the fan on I noticed an odd rattling sound coming from the fan when it was running on low or medium speed setting. On high the fan ran without the rattle but it was quite loud. After about a week of trying to live with it, I decided to finally return it to the store and spend a little bit more. Hopefully will have better luck with the next purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very pleased I'm quite satisfied with my purchase. The fan snapped together easily and was ready to go. Even on the lowest setting, it circulates air quite well in my apartment living room with the oscillation on. It's actually a little TOO powerful. I generally only use the lowest setting. I love the sleek design and the remote. Yes, it is cheap plastic so I'm not sure how long it will last, but it has worked fine since I bought it a month ago. I also use it in my bedroom and its lightweight enough to carry (although a little tall so I have to "hug" it). I'm planning to purchase the 28" version for my bedroom.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good choice The product is not very well constructed. The housing wasn't completely snapped together when I got it. More importantly the air does not flow out of the front uniformly. It blows out of the bottom more strongly than the top part. Also, air actually blows out of the back of the fan a little bit at the top (which is why it doesn't come out of the front very strongly). So I think there is a design flaw. The shape of it is skinnier at the top and fatter at the bottom. That may be the problem. This is one of the cheaper tower fans of this height. I am taking it back and spending a few more dollars for one around the same height. Too bad the store doesn't have working displays so I can test them out before I buy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice fan, but day one, oscillation is already stuck I like the sound level of this fan. It's pretty quiet compared to other fans I've had/ used. The remote operation is nice and the different settings are fun. I would give this five stars but having just purchased it today and after only running a couple hours the oscillation function gets stuck. Not happy about that. I may need to exchange it tomorrow if it doesn't work again. But based solely on the air output combined with noise level this fan is worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Marginal Initial Quality -> Zero Long Term I purchased this fan in approx June 2015. It sat in the box for a month and then I assembled it, a marginally-well designed fan to begin with. I've used the fan for a total of probably 10 hours and it stopped working. Some sort of garbage electronics inside died. I'm not even going to investigate what because I doubt service parts are available and it's not worth fixing. 1) 3 sessions of approx 20 minutes of run time in July/August 2015. 2) 1 session of 1 hour run time in the fall 2015 Dormant all winter. 3) Ran for 6 hours overnight and died during that period, April 2016. It's also loud, the plastic creaks and is just not a well designed product. For $50, I wasn't expecting much, but I would stay away from this fan.
