Answer:
Yes, we do all the time. We buy the roll of cork material, this sheathing and use contact cement to adhere it. You can cut it to any size you want. Then we frame it with some decorative trim material. Much cheaper and better than buying pre-made bulletin boards.

Answer:
Absolutely, I use it that way all the time. It is much thicker than cork board and easily takes pins, push pins or thumbtacks. It would take a very long time to use it so much that it is damaged.

I want to install hardwood flooring in my condo and have been told it has to be a floating floor, rather than nailed down because of the sound boards.

Answer:
To install laminate flooring over 440 SoundBarrier that is being used over a concrete slab you'll need to fasten the 440 panels to the slab mechanically with power actuated fasteners. Check the Homasote website for detailed installation instructions.

Answer:
1/2" Homasote 440 SoundBarrier is not a structural roofing panel. When deployed as a nailbase, however, EPDM roofing can simply be installed as per manufacturer's recommendations.

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Used this in a home theater Followed installation instructions from website. It worked great in wall applications, attached drywall right to it, no issues. A product that was easy to cut and worked as advertised, would buy it again! April 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waste of money, time and effort Don’t buy this product! It just waste of money, effort and time. Nothing else. Firstly, at approximately $29.00 per sheet this material not even uniform in thickness. It wary from 3/8” to 5/8”, but that is minor problem. Forget the soundproofing ratios. It simply not there. No soundproofing whatsoever. Airborne sound nor impact noise. NOTHING AT ALL. 3/8” plywood probably would do a better soundproofing job. Tried this 1/2" homasote on two floor projects in my duplex. It feels like it is not there. It is not a soundproofing board, it is a bogus. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Product works GREAT I used this 440 soundbarrier on a floor project and it works GREAT. I have a room with a high amount of foot traffic on the second floor with offices below it. You could hear everything before I installed the soundbarrier. I spoke with the Technical support desk and he gave me valuable information in regards to how the product works as well as how to install it correctly. I will definitely use this product again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for Stained Glass I use this as an assembly board when creating Stained Glass panels. It is easy to cut to a more manageable size. it is also extremely fire resistant which is crucial when soldering with hot lead. I have even used an old piece on my lawn to protect it when setting off fireworks March 3, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Run dont walk I bought this board for ceiling sound insulation. My neighbor upstairs has very heavy feet, I can hear every step. After attaching 440 sound board and covering it with drywall, absolutely nothing has changed. I can still hear all the steps and talking/music. WAIST of $200. DO not buy this product. It's absolutely worthless. October 15, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great I was told to use this for my Bee Hives for Winter moisture control. It works great, bees are able to get to the trapped moisture and use it to dissolve honey stores in winter months. It also kept the hive warmer than just the wood top. October 14, 2012
