How and what to use to secure horizontally to steel siding?

I want to place this over my very large living room window as I have a wisteria plant that is vining off to the left side to go up and over, so when in bloom the flowers will dangle over the window.

What's the best way to attach these to the top of a fence?

Asked by: steve
Hi Steve. They come with a small frame piece but that is not structural. The best way to create a lattice topper is to buy 2 pcs 2x4x8 and 1 pc of 2x4 that you can cut 3 pcs 12". Create a figure 8 by using the 8' and the 3 12" pcs, 1 in center and 1 each end. Then install the lattice into that structure. There are many other ways, but this is the most sound and stable. Thanks

how to attach panels to form enclosure for puppy

Asked by: jch
Thank you for the question. I am not sure I would suggest this as a puppy enclosure due to their desire to chew on the wood and the risk of staple ingestion but if you think otherwise and plan to monitor then I would suggest you purchase a 2x2x48 in the lumber dept and cut it into 4 lengths that are 12 inch each to use for the corners. Then you would have something to screw to at each corner using short, maybe 1 1/2" screws??? Just an idea and if you do do this please monitor the chewing because there are small staples in this product. Thanks for considering our products.

Customer Reviews

45.75 in. x 12 in. Checkerboard Pattern Western Red Cedar Framed Lattice Fence Panel (2-Pack) is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inexpensive and built like it We bought a bunch of these to use as the top portion of our fence. The price was right and based on the description and measurements, I thought they'd fit well into the design. First, they are inexpensive because they are cheap. Low quality wood inexactly stapled together. Second, the size is just bizarre. 45-3/4 inches leaves you 2-1/4 short of 4 feet. Two of them side-by-side leave a 4-1/2 inch gap over 8 feet. I'm not sure what's supposed to fill that space. (If it were, say, 1-1/2 or 3-1/2 or I'd assume that a conventional cut of wood is expected as a spacer, but I don't know what to do with this. If you are looking for an inexpensive lattice panel and can design around the strange dimensions, this isn't a bad buy. For most people, though, I'm not sure it makes sense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Looking Product that Works Great I used these (2) lattice panels on a potting bench as the back-drop of each end shelf where potted plants and garden art could be displayed. It's the perfect finishing touch for my bench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality made product, great price, visually correct? Used these panels as a horizontal fence topper , place 2 end to end separated by a vertical piece of 2x4 and you have a great section that fills the space exactly between 2 fence posts spaced 8 ft apart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice solid frame Using this in place of sheet lattice under my deck. It's double the thickness of normal cedar lattice, half the cost and the frame adds stability. My child destroyed the old lattice because the deck is next to the basketball court. Hope this holds up to the test. If not, time for steel

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Surprisingly bad. Had to return these because they were falling apart before I even took them out of the box. I loved the idea and the photo, too bad in person they didn't hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed to finish my privacy fence I wanted to extend my fence beyond the original 5' height without offending my neighbors. This 12" addition provides privacy and looks great (see picture). The product was exactly as advertised and shipped quickly. I installed it myself with some wood screws to the existing posts. It worked out great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected The fence toppers arrived on time and were more sturdy and well built than we expected. We were able to add privacy to our yard and it is attractive. All of our adjoining neighbors complimented the product.
