Can you just buy caps for the bottles we use our own and fill them up?

Asked by: Sheri
This product is filled with water and sealed before being delivered to the store. The price shown is for exchanging an empty bottle for a discount on the new filled bottle. There is no option with this product to fill your own.

Customer Reviews

5 Gal. Water with Empty Exchange is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saving Serious Money I have a water dispenser that I keep in my office at work so I purchased three 5 gallon bottles of water to always have water available. When two are empty I bring them home and exchange them at HD. You have to purchase the bottle of water at full price at first but after that you can exchange them for half the price. Just to be clear, you can't return the bottle and get a deposit back. Staying hydrated is one of the best and easiest things you can do for you health but buying individual bottles of water can get expensive. One five gallon bottle is equal to 35 - 40 individual bottles depending on the size. At any rate I'm very happy this exchange service is available at my local HD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very convenient Once you purchase the full bottle for around $13.00, each exchange is around $6.00. It's a bit pricey, but it's very convenient to just walk in and exchange for a new one. HD was the only place that sold these, so high marks for them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not specific I called and even looked online to see if they exchange the water bottles. When I got to the store however an employee told me they don't take zephyrhills water bottles. Why wouldn't they state that on their website
