Answer:
I used liquid nail project version to adhere the product to the base mortar. I personally used the 4 to1 mortar in the tile isle for the base and then used regular mortar for the second layer. My shower is 5x4 with a 6" curb and i used about 3 bags of the 4 to 1 and i used 4 bags of the regular mortar you find in the concrete section

Hi, Brooke. This shower pan liner kit is used to form a shower base out of deck mud. There are several ways to construct such a shower base. This is Oatey's installation video illustrating the basic technique of making these bases. It will give you a general idea of how the process works.

Answer:
yes but not recommended. I would pour a mortar slop from the outer edges of the base to the drain. then add the membrane, then another slope as depicted in the instructions. Make sure you use the Oatey drain that is designed to work with this membrane.

That's not how this is usually installed. You usually build the pre-slope, put in the liner, and then build the rest of the pan over that. This is Oatey's installation video and it does a good job of explaining the basic process. There are many different variations possible, of course, including a number of convenience products that make the process of building the pre-slope easier, but this video should Read More

Answer:
No they don't but you can make a bigger membrane by using the X15 pvc glue and adhering 2 of them together. Just make sure you get the correct glue and you wait the recommended 12 hours before putting mortar on it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Essential for waterproofing your shower pan This is a must have for a shower installation. Its easy to work with if the material is warm. Leave it in the sun for 30+ minutes, or use a hair dryer. Its very hard to work with if its cold. October 20, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is the second shower pan that we've purchased for our home. We've been remodeling one bathroom, and finishing our basement and adding another bathroom to our home as well. The shower pans were recommended by a plumber and a general contractor. So far, so good. April 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product Product asdescribed. Easy installation no complaints at all April 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Some tips on use Product came folded. This creates folds and bumps. Although it is thick,(40mil) it works best when it lies flat. Lay it out in the sun if possible or use a heat gun on low while membrane is laying out flat, turns into butter. Very easy to work with. Corners glue up with X-15 Oatey adhesive. Nice clean job. Also used MarkE positive weep hole protector and Kirb Perfect, very slick products. July 23, 2013
