In order to remove the creases from the folded materials, unfold the material and place it on a flat, smooth surface in direct sunlight. On a warm day with plenty of sunshine the material will heat up to 110-120 degrees, any you should be able to stretch out the material and remove most of the creases. After doing this, roll up the material (instead of folding it) until you are ready to use it. Heating the material in sunlight also makes it easier fold into your shower pan.
One caution - the material will be softer and easier to puncture when heated, so use caution walking on it

Found it on line and could order the size I needed. Shipped and received as advertised. Very easy.

Do not buy this folded up! The folds do not come out. I tried laying it out flat over a weekend - the folds were just as bad. After searching the internet to see what other people were doing I found I wasn't alone with this mess. Hot blow dryer, Hot iron over wet towel, hanging it - nothing works.
I called Oatey after wasting DAYS trying to get the folds out. The Oatey rep I spoke with was polite and very familiar with the problem. She stated that she had spoken with the engineers and they recommend using and adhesive like Liquid Nails BUT you must put something heavy over all of the folds while the adhesive dries. I do not accept this. I wish I would have used anything but Oatey's folded up garbage. I will post this review anywhere I see this poor excuse for a shipping solution (folded up - really??!!) I wish I could write something about the performance of this product but after speaking with an Oatey rep on the phone, I'll be tearing it all out this weekend.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ulothrix 40mil, NOT 40mm!! (But otherwise some good stuff.)
We got this to put in our shower pan that we laid in 2009. 4+ years later, it's worked just great, and I would get it again. One thing, the folds make it a little trickier to lay out flat, so if you can, buy the stuff cut off the roll in the store.
Like I said, it's 40mil (about 1mm thick), NOT 40mm (which would be about 1 3/4 INCHES thick)

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tranquility Precut shower pan liner
I purchased this product as it was close to the size of my shower at a better price than cut material. Upon opening the package, the material edges were not cut square and the length was a little short on one side. Because this item comes folded, it is difficult to get the creases to smooth out during installation. Otherwise, this is the same as any other shower pan liner.

As far as its effectiveness as a shower pan liner, I have no complaints. It's thick & hard to inadvertently tear/rip, so you can drop a nail or screwdriver on it during installation and not panic. I have no doubt that it will be a perfectly effective water barrier in my new shower for years to come. This pre-cut piece is sized to work well for the standard standard 5 foot shower stall.
With that said, if you live anywhere near Home Depot, purchase this off the roll in the store instead of ordering this pre-cut, pre-packaged version. I anticipated there being creases from being folded in the package, so I unpacked it & laid it flat in a pretty hot garage for several days before installing it. What I did NOT anticipate was just how hard it would be to get rid of these creases. Having it flat in a hot garage had little to no effect on it. I then draped it over a banister in the house for 3-4 days, hoping that gravity would work to smooth some of it out. No such luck. I finally got out a hairdryer and spent an hour heating it up & trying to work out the ridges. I never did get them all out, but it was at least enough so I felt comfortable installing it.
So, in summary: if you need this product & live anywhere near a Home Depot, buy it there off the roll. If you need this product and can't buy it in-store, go ahead and order it, but be prepared to have to work with it some. The only thing I didn't try that, in hindsight I wish I had, would be to lay it out on the driveway in direct sunlight on a hot day. Maybe that would have worked better? Anyway, good product, it's just its packaging that poses problems.
