Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rainman LEAKS!! Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?
The barrel gets lots of good reviews, but as another reviewer noted, it leaks! This is a fundamental problem and completely defeats the purpose of having a rain barrel. The leak is in the short hose. We took it back, and the new one was just as bad. It has to do with the way the hose is designed. We have connected another hose, and that seems to have solved the problem. Otherwise, a nice looking rain barrel.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by fw2014 Works as advertised
I got two of them, one on each side of the house to collect rain water to feed two artificial ponds. Easy to install and the splash guard can be rotated to fit the area around the down sprout. One thing can be improved is the overflow drain hole in the flower bed. It would be good to have a tube instead of just a hole. I could then connect a hose to drain the overflow water further away from the house.

Order came quickly, just a few days. Very easy to set up.
Hasn't rained yet, but I'm not foreseeing any issues.
Only question that wasn't answered was, what happens to the overflow when it's full? Is there a way to direct it to flow in a particular direction? Nothing in the instructions about this....

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Woody Good quality and great features
This product is well built and has many features. It features a hose connection that is located close to the bottom of the barrel and a shut off valve on the black vinyl hose. It even has a clasp that the hose hangs from so it doesn't have to lay on the ground. A strainer is included at the water inlet. Overflows are at the planter and the barrel itself. We're thinking about buying another one.

It's been a month since I purchased. It was an easy install, clear directions. The flower container on the top is a nice feature and takes the eye away from the rain barrel, although it too is attractive and not an eye sore in my garden, next to my house. I also like the quick flow from the hose for filling my pitcher for watering.

Soon after I got this all set up, we had a nice rain fall, I was very excited. Today I went to get some water for my new strawberry plants & my barrel is nearly empty and the patio is soaking wet all around it. I tightened the hose connection, still leaking. 2 thumbs waaaay down!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fran Attractive Rain Barrels
Just received our rain barrels via UPS. They are so good looking. They will be installed this week. I am so excited to be able to use drip hoses with them and to plant flowers in the top. They look like terra cotta and are very sturdy. We bought 6 and they will be a big help in dry weather. Thank you very much. FB, South Carolina

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Teacher Looks good with wood and slate
I was really pleased with the look and set up. Our gutter guys made a great call to have a diverter put on it. Too small for torential rains we have been having. Suggest at least a pair for average roof line.
