PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model # CW-2X

Internet # 203547195

The next generation of composting is now available. The Compost Wizard Dueling Tumbler combines some of the greatest features in our tumblers to create a compact tumbler that does it all. With compost tumblers, users are restricted to working with one batch at a time. The Dueling Tumbler overcomes this drawback by supporting two batches running simultaneously. Each 25 gal. chamber is separated and can compost independently. Also on the Dueling Tumbler is a compost tea collecting base which collects excess composting liquid for later use on plant root and soil. As with the majority of our tumblers, the Dueling Tumbler is manufactured using recycled Polyethylene in Lake City, Pennsylvania. This plastic is BPA free and FDA approved for contact with edibles. Setting up the composter is easy; Simply place the composter in a mostly sunny spot (partial shade in hotter climates) and you're done. The composter comes fully assembled. The Dueling Tumbler will take your composting to the next level.

Unfortunately, the same little door. I was wondering the same thing when I bought this the other day. Oh well, I plan on using gloves and a small spade.

Answer:
The ends do not come off. You do have to use the 8" wide openings to get the compost out.

how do you intend for the user to get compost out? 8 inches seems almost too small to fit a shovel into.

I bought this the other day and was wondering the same thing. I checked everywhere and there are no other openings. Oh well, I guess that's what gloves are for.

Answer:
The compost container rides on wheels that are in the base for easy turning. I don't think you can rotate each side independently.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by COMING APART AT THE SEAMS I've had this composter for less than a week and it is already splitting apart at the seams. I didn't notice anything wrong when I loaded it up with my composting materials, but a few days later, I could see where one of the seams on the bottom has split apart and can also see a crack opening on the side. Upon closer inspection, there are plastic ridges along the seam lines that should have been shaved off when the composter was originally taken out of the mold. Altogether, a pretty shoddy product. Unfortunatley, I have already filled the composter up with materials and am not willing to clean the whole thing out and take it back to the store. I taped up the split seam and crack with duct tape and hope this holds for awhile, but if this product is already falling apart, I don't see it lasting too many seasons. Just trying to save someone else from purchasing this poorly made composter -- don't make the same mistake I made. April 4, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great composter This single unit barrel style composter has two conjoined compartments accessible only by the two circle openings. The plastic looks very thick (I estimate 1/3") and is very lightweight (less than 10lbs by my estimate). We've only had it for a few days, but my bro-in-law got his three months ago and he highly recommended. I was thinking about the compost tea collector and realized that unless it was on a raised platform, I would have to remove the barrel and then lift the base just to pour out the juice. I bought six (6) cinder blocks (8"x8"x16") for under $10. I leveled the ground and placed the cinder blocks in a 2x3 configuration and placed the composter on top. It looks great and is now 8" off the ground providing plenty of room to put a container below the spigot. March 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great addition to our gardening. So easy to set up and use; how did I get by before I had this? September 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Happy with this Asked Santa for this. Read some reviews for others, but I especially wanted 2 chambers and the one I had homed in on was highly rated EXCEPT on ease of assembly. The one I got you just put the base where you want and sit the barrel on top. The base collects compost tea. Barrel turns effortlessly. Design is simple wih recessed handles for turning. Like the low profile vs a stand. So far so good. All composters seem expensive to me...they are just plastic...but if it lasts I'll be happy. Made in the U.S. January 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to set up and use Virtually no assembly required. In store pick up was a breeze. It is the perfect size for my yard. Lids are so easy to use it makes adding material effortless. It will take a couple of months for the finished product but we are definitely on the path to success. December 30, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Setup so simple ... ... even a child could do it. Comes in one big box containing two pieces: the dual barrel and the base. Put the base where you want it, put the barrel on the base, unscrew the lids, throw in compostable material, screw the lids back into place, give the barrel a few turns to mix. Now let time and the decomposition process take place in its own time. July 22, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase Not heavy, only 2 pieces, no assembly. Using it for maybe 3 weeks now and love it October 14, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Product The composter is compact yet able to hold a good amount of compost. No assembly required and is great for mixing and turning compost October 15, 2013
