Rated 3 out of 5 50 gal. Rain Barrel With Brass Spigot, Oak
Had trouble installing the brass spigot. Threaded portion in barrel is not as deep as threads on the spigot. Instructions were vague as it said to turn until the hex portion was seated against the barrel. Assuming the spigot cut additional threads as I turned it. Spigot would tilt as it went in. Ultimately needed to use silicone caulk to seal it. Screen on top does not fit properly and seems smaller than the opening it covers. Barrel top does not open making it difficult to clean. Should have a removable top. All in all it looks nice and blends in well with the wall and deck.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Lipper Great looking product and great quality
I bought the Oak Flatback Rain barrel for my house. It looks nicer than any of the other Rain barrels out there and it is really easy to use. You don't need to use a diverter kit. All you do is hover your down spout over the opening at the top. It comes with a brass spigot and a screen to keep out mosquitos. The overflow is located at the front of the barrel which I like because the water drains away from the foundation of my house. If I want to change the overflow to the side of the barrel I can just drill out the side overflows and attach a hose or connect it to another barrel. Lots of options!

This rain barrel is a decent product. Mine has a very small leak on a seam at the very top of the barrel. Not a show stopper, but note worthy. Also the top of the barrel is not designed to efficiently collect the rain water, and there is no splash guard, so it is somewhat difficult to improvise a way to adapt the barrel to a downspout unless you remove the opening screen altogether and run the downspout directly into the barrel.

This product is exactly as described online. I read through all of the reviews and purchased and it is perfect for my application. I cut our downspout to fall right above the screened opening on top and hooked a short hose to the bottom brass spigot. The hose sends a trickle out to keep my flowers gently watered. And I paid $30 less than Menards offered in-store.
